yep the 94 one is the fastest by 3 seconds almost, but i prefer polyphony 002 because it's easier to drive, wonder why they call it F090 though, its the 88 mc-laren honda, or are you talking about another f1?

A few points for you.

"the 94 one"... There are TWO in NTSC versions - the F094/S and the F094/H. There is no good reason why, but the F094/H is markedly slower. They are both 1994 Williams FW16s, but one was Senna's car and one was Hill's.

They DON'T call the Polyphony 002 "F090". It's the F688/S, the 1988 McLaren as driven by Senna (McLaren MP4/4). The F090/S is the 1990 McLaren MP4/5, also as driven by Senna.

And finally, what does "fastest by 3 seconds almost" mean? Is it faster than the other F1 cars by 3 seconds on EVERY track, regardless of the track length or the driver?

yep but i own the european version so we must have the numbers mixed, we have 2 f1's, the 88 mc-laren and another f1 from 94 i think that certainly isn't thge 94 williams, it has a sharp high nose, maybe it's based on one of the lower runnung f1 teams of that year.

Come on... think for a minute.

Is the P001 (or F094/S) 3 seconds a lap faster than the P002 (or F688/S) on Super Speedway? How about Test Course? What about Grand Valley, or Midfield?

If I drove them on Complex String, would I be 3 seconds slower in the P002?

The answer to all of these questions is "no".

No car is "x" seconds faster (or slower) than another car on EVERY track in the whole world.

The P001 generates more mechanical grip in corners than the P002, so on tracks with lots of corners it'll be much faster. The two have the same power though, so on tracks with few corners the difference won't be as high.

i'm talking about grand valley and many other circuits alike, because if you drive on the limit every lap your times are consistent and there would be such a difference.
but offcourse that would change on abnormal circuits like super speedway etc...
one question though, i see yamauchi is a fan of the greatest driver that ever lived also, i would love to drive that lotus 99t and i heard european players could acces those other f1's by 'hybrid' or something, could you be so kind to explain that to me...
