F1 Testing pictures up (56k=no)

From the Tuesday the 13th - Thursday the 15th of september. I was considering not to make this thread but for people who might be able to make it, it's a brilliant opportunity to see some F1 cars for free, i know most people will be at work or school but i think this calls for a day off.

My dad's going to a mountain bike show at Renault F1 HQ tomorow, so he's going to try and get us a garage/paddack/pit pass. I'll be going on the 14th and i'll post some pictures when i get chance although it'll probably be after the 19th because i'm moving to uni :nervous: and i'll have to get internet connection there.

Update:
It was an amazing day, we got access to the renault garage and infield parking, the sound of the cars was was amazing and you get used to it after standing next to a renault while it was starting up. The McLaren team where being very secretive in testing there V8's which IMO sound better then the V10's. Renault also tested there V8, for about an hour at the end of the session, i was amazed to see them take a V10 out of alonso's car and swap it straight for a V8 in about 35 minutes.

I live like 15 minutes from silverstone, oh yeah i got a post from silverstone about 2006 tickets.. :eek:
 
I went this years silverstone gp sat in the copse b granstand and quite frankly i prefer watching it at home but I reccomend every F1 fan to see atleast one race in the flash. The cars look like toys and they go around corners as if they dont even exist.

I practically grew up around race circuits like Silverstone, and have heard every conceivable race engine do what they do best. But there's nothing like the sound of a modern F1 engine at 19,000rpm :drool:

One of the best places to watch and listen is just to the right of the main infield road bridge, just by the main entrance - at bridge corner funnily enough. You get to hear them brake and accelerate about 4 times around this complex.

Actually, one of the best places to watch and hear them is the South Bank at Brands Hatch. Unforunately these days you'd have to have frickin good ears and a television.....
 
Ok, I have a Pit lane and Garage pass from Renault F1 for tuesday the 13th. I'll try and get as many pictures as possible, and I'll post em up when i can :) 👍

haha i hadn't even notice that and i took the picture, probably because i don't think we where aloud to take photos in the garage :) and i was trying to be sneaky
 
Is it just me or does Alonso look like he needs to eat some red meat? My wife has been pointing it out all season but he looks especially gaunt here.

Actually she prefers Kimi...

Then again I am blonde and blue eyed and have family from Finland....maybe that is why she married me.

hahaha...lucky for me no. Even she makes fun of him for that...

What is sad is compared to last season Kimi has gotten much better at speaking. I think McLaren made him take some speaking classes. I've never heard him speak Finnish but I wonder if he speaks the same flat way. Finnish isn't really a flat language either from what I remember.
 
And its as if he is speaking in one massive sentance.
