Last Weeks Race Write Up
The first race of the season has been put in the books. YIN has taken the first win of the season with a victory over jump_ace. The margin of victory was 9 seconds. YIN also took the seasons first pole putting his car on pole by a margin of .5 seconds over sausages. The points after week one look basically the same as the finishing order for the race. With both the cars in the top three team williams takes the constructors points lead into round two. We now head on to round two at La Sarthe and it looks to be a very exciting season off and running.

Series updates
Red tarmac and other thing similar are ok to use also going off is ok as long as it does not make you lap faster
Rewards System will be (wieght first power will be the reverse if needed)
1st- +3%
2nd- +2%
3rd- +1%
14th- -1%
15th- -2%
16th- -3%


Round 2-French GP-6 laps-SLa Sarthe 1 (chicanes)

How to set up arcade mode
1. go to main screen in GT4
2 click options and look under arcade mode click on RACE
3. change laps to 6
4. make tire wear STRONG
5. make peanalty sped limiter
6. make time none

The car is the last one on the Japan list of cars

Qualification Rules
NO ASM
Any Tire(but like in F1 must DO the race on the same compound)(slected in quick tune)
Run as many laps as needed to get the time you feel is fastest.
Fastest lap must be a clean lap as well
May change top speed


Race Rules
NO ASM
Tires are the same compound you qualify on.
When you pit Must stay on the same compound
Run 6 laps
Run a clean race or your best attempt at it
may change top speed

Submission Rules
Submit to me your Qualification Time, Race Time, And Tire Choice
ALL IN THE SAME PM
Must Submit Times For This Round By Midnight EST on Sept. 25th

Time protest rules

1. Send me a a PM at the completion of the race(the day after the deadline) and it must be berfore the completion of the next race weekend
2. in the pm state some sort of reason why the time should be protested
3. upon me reviewing the protest i shall ask the competior in question to submit a demo
4. i will review the demo
5.
A. the lap(or race is ligit) in wich case nothing will happen
B. the race(or lap) is not legit in which case the penalty will be severe it will include(but is not limited to) a -10 point peanalty and other peanalties i find nessacary
6. if someone makes an honest typo or ther mistake and lets me know before complation of the next race this will be considered a mistake and i will fix the error

I did about as bad as I thought I would in round 1. I am using the stock gear setting and it seems to work fine. Agree? Disagree?

Well, I guess that answers the question of whether or not I should have waited for a clean race to post times. Damn!! I knew we could do it Omlettes!! We're the best at being last!

Yeah, and in the mean time take the hit in points for doing so too! That way, no matter what we unleash, it'll be too late.lol.

But, only the top three have been told to add 1,2,and 3 %, I haven't seen anywhere that we lose any percentage except for what's up top. So until Racefan actually directs me specifically to lower my weight, I'm just going to keep it where it is.

With that said, so far my fastest time is 3:00.055
 
I'll try to get some times in this week, sorry about no round 1 submission.
 
you dont lose percentage uless you finish in the bottom 3 thats assuming everyone submitts if 3 people dont submit then no one will lose any wieght

Let's see how week 2 goes, Suzuka was not my strongest of tracks, especially for no tcs :ouch: lol but Sarthe is a ton of fun and I will throroughly enjoy this week :). I am not looking forward to week 11 tho Monaco and I DO NOT get along in the least bit, so expect some crazy point trading, I'll prolly drop a few places there against y'all.

EDIT: Props to my teammate Martin for his flyin' lap with no tcs, that is well done dude 👍 Go Toyota!

Yea Suzuka is over, I swear that is my worst track. La Sarthe isn't my best (with an F1 anyway). You won't believe the speeds you can reach whilst drafting opponents. I need to switch compounds tho, has anyone had to make 1 pit stop?

Agree.

360 seems to be optimum for the straights - the car doesn't appear to go over 350 anyway even if you set the top speed much higher.

Yeah, that's lesarth 1, the one with the two freaking things in the long straight right? Yeah, I've gotten 2:57.xxx's in GT mode before. But so far out of about 70 laps I've only gotten four of them below 3:01:xxx. I don't suppose that will be a fast time for very long. Way too much room for mistakes. And I can gain on my time in some sections, but I keep losing time (or the car in general) on other parts. Also, if it is a good time, it might be good for me to mention that before this tourney, I just finished the 24 hrs. at LeSarth 1 in A-spec mode with the F1 car. So after about 400 laps or so, I'd better have a damn good time, otherwise I might as well pack the game away and quit.

It won't matter what compound you use. Unfortunately, you'll only be able to draft you opponents once and that's if you don't beat them to the straight anyway, so I wouldn't go setting up my car for maximum speed. But, eh, that's me.

damn even my teammate is faster by a lot now.My laps are the same then seconds will fall off. Oh well the week is young.

By the way I meant to ask which color each person is using and which they believe is faster.:sly:

i just ran a few laps just to feel out the track again(i havnt run La sarthe in a while) and i got to a 3'03.1xx i should be able to run that consistantly in the race and my quali time should go down to just around the 3'00.000 mark

Are you dropping to fifth or sixth on the right hander at the beginning that leads to the long straight.

you mean the right turn before Mulsanne straght????then yes,i use 6th gear:)

I have just been wondering because sometimes I get it (and since I go to fifth) I am at the top of the powerband. Unfortunately I dont get it that good regularly.

i move the car to the very left then give a little brake,i don't know the speed when i entry but the exit speed is about 290 km/h:)
my setting:370 top speed

That explains alot.
I did some comparing of your lap times and mine. From the start to T2 you get a 2.6 second lead then I match you until T5 and by T6 you are 4.5 or so ahead of me. (sorry for the grammar)

Now I looked at that and thought you must be getting alot of time on the first straightof the mulsane and the turn before it. My breaking for the first chicane is wrong and I slow down then coast through before I can accelerate.
My beginning is all over, sometimes really fast other times notta so a much. I know my time is slow at the porsche curves because I am just now being able to go through cleanly.

Sorry if that confused anyone reading this but I think it will be helping me alot.👍
