Im NOT using TCS and my best T4 to date is a 1'41.1xx which is only 4 tenths off where YIN is and im confident I can go even faster, I agree with GeoQuin, you lose too much time over bumps with TCS on cause it slows you down to stop the wheels spining, you just gotta learn how to not spin the wheels is all :)

it kind of funny felling, but the car is MUCH FASTER!!! I will keep trying tomorrow, thank you:)

I guess I will be racing to as Daddy-O ask me to join his team, I can't beleave how busy I am.
I will be racing in the WRS, Super Taikyu series, No Rules Racing series and this one.

Still dunno about some of my splits here, made it under my 'barrier' on my first official hotlap *sigh* I had a huge off that costed my about a second but whatever, apparently I'm 4 seconds back as of the last split

EDIT: still had tcs on...D'OH! Now I'm about 2-3 seconds back from YIN, but dunno if I will trim anymore hotlap time as I need to start racing soon.....

EDIT: Now things are clicking, but this +2% stuff is crazy I dunno if I'm just crazy but I can feel the difference in just 2% in how the car reacts, ESPECIALLY at these high speed turns. Here are my final splits for the qualies, there is another .5 out there but seen as how I need to race:

T1 - :25.918
T2 - :56.587
T3 - 1:21.629 (actually was .5 faster here on a lap I screwed myself on....figures, eh?)
T4 - 1:42.227 (still .5 behind my prev 'messed up' ghost)
T5 - 2:08.753 (passed that 'messed up' ghost and gained .4 on him :sly: yay!)
T6 - 2:35.089

Egads, I'm being left behind. At least in qualifing.

On another note: PS3 is rumored to be released Nov. 17 worldwide. No word on on GT5 though  Price: between $500-$600 Each.:scared:

Really though, you have to consider the pros and cons between the two power systems right now. First off, the decider for me will be the fact that GT5 will be exclusive to the PS3 as everyone knows. But when it comes down to it, once you get an Xbox 360 and all of it's damn attachments and upgrades you're looking at the same cost with less technology. Not to mention this blueray is the next thing in information disk reading. Either way, chances are I won't be able to afford either one for a long damn time.:grumpy:

Welcome AngelCreator and daddy-o!

east
Heres a tip for you, keep the broken one so next time you get a bit frustrated with the game you can smash it up even more instead of breaking the new one
Not a bad idea about the controller, east. There's not much left to salvage from this one though. I smashed it good.
There's something very worrying going on though when a game can reduce you to a gibbering psychotic just because you miss a few apexes.

As for the red stuff and all that, as GeoQuin said, in some places you can't use the red stuff without cutting the corner/chicane (especially the second chicane on the straight). I'm going to try to keep within the rumbles anyway I think - and I have to re-do my qually lap too because a)it's pitifully slow and b)I think I shamelessly cut the Mulsanne corner.

Off to buy a new controller now :grumpy:

there have been alot of questions about the red stuff so let me re-phrase it

1. you may use the red stuff at all turns even if it is between the rumble strip and the grass(or sand)

2. by no cutting corners i ment dont cut the chicanes by going flying through the gravel becuase that is the only spot i know of where yo can gain time by going off

If anyone wants a good example of how the red stuff slows your momentum, when you're going down the long straight, go to the side of the track as close as you can to the wall, and compare your top speed with what you can get in the middle. The tarmac at the edge of the track is the same as the red stuff, it's just died red to make it obvious for drivers that that's what it is. You'll notice about a three to four MPH difference.

i know it a year before:)
EDIT:Can i run without tcs at Qualif but run with tcs at race????:dopey:

YIN
sweetness:D
can i jump though the corner before start, finishline???(two wheels on track):)

That is usually frowned upon in stiffer comps, but I'd imagine it would make too much diff here in this more 'relaxed' series :sly:

i don't understand what you are saying, that's mean i can do it or not???:)

As long as you have two tires on tarmac its fine. Even the tarmac thats back of curbing. With most comps its ok to get all four tires back of curbing as long as two tires are always on tarmac.👍

Why would you want to do that? That will only slow you down, unless thats your plan, to use the gravel as a substitute for the brakes

no,i don't touch the gravel as usual,do you have a faster way to go though it???

No wheel spin is usually the fastest way :sly: If you are not touching the gravel then according to the rules in the first post you have all 4 wheels on track 👍

Do you have any splits without using TCS yet, i'd be interested to see them?

i'm still pushing my time,i forgot my spilt, but what i can tell you is about 1.5 sec faster than i did with tcs:)

Ah, I see, so you wanted to make sure your lap was clean.

Well I havnt managed to improve my time, I keep messing up T1 leaving me no chance for the rest of the lap, I know I can improve on my own time, wether I will or not is another question, either way it seems we'll all be having another helping of your dust sandwich for this round aswell.

no,my lap is clean,my goal is 51 sec but it's really hard for me,so i 'm trying to push at least below 52.5 sec:)

as long as you dont put more than 2 wheels off the RED tarmac and into the gravel on the start that is ok otherwise if you put four wheels off as long as it does not make your time BETTER it is ok

Hey racerfan, In about the middle of October, I'm leaving town for a week. Is what I'm wondering is if I found somebody to take my place for Team Williams for that week. Would it be ok? They may be faster than me and may not be. I don't know, I may not even find anybody. The wife says, were going on a vacation.:nervous:

you can pre-pm me your time for that race whenever if you like just make sure you say it is for which ever races you will be missing and i can put it in that way

i justfinished running the race for the third time and finaly without an off. i ran all of my hot laps(not pit in,pit out, or start lap) within a second of my qualifying run anyone else have any news on how they are doing?

I hear ya! I developed a nasty habit of lifting off the throttle in the Porsche Curves and well....I wrecked big! or every time I got up to pass the AI, they would bump me into the grass and /or the wall and well...I wrecked! Next race please!

I havent run a real race in with other cars in three or four months. My passing and general driving skills have gone to ****e.
I have tried the race a few times but dont know if I will get a time to submit. I dont feel like just finnishing no matter what like last week
