F450 spied without camo!

maybe it'll be first Ferrari to clear speed bumps without hydraulic suspension since 70's?

I had no idea a new Ferrari was so far into development. The bold and curvaceous lines reminiscent of the Evora and Zonda have been executed quite well.

Wherebouts in Ferrari's current model hierarchy is this new version intended to occupy?

Hold on guys, how sure are we that this isn't part of that coach-built factory-approved custom program? It looks an awful lot like that one made for some Japanese businessman from last summer:

Because it states that the F430 successor is in black dark plastic, in the actual article you just linked us to.

Here is what AutoExpess thinks it'll look like:

If it does look like that, Wow...
That rear only works on the California, and even then, it fails. I really hope Ferrari aren't shooting for it, either. Seeing IS-F type exhausts on a F430 successor = :crazy:

Considering the only info that these guys are getting is through half-metre telephoto camera lenses, I wouldn't call it exactly reliable.

Maybe the red one, although not designed by Pininfarina, is a bit of a preview of what to sort of expect? Who knows.

no... the red one is a one-off made by ferrari... i completely forgot what it was called...

I know, but what if the OP's is also part of that same program. I don't actually believe this, but the camo'd car seems to have more changes than a facelift, which the F450 sounds like.

The F450 is a completely new car, not a face-lift. The F430's successor.

Can't remember sources on this but I remember that discussion of the F450 was that it:
- Most beautiful Ferrari in years
- We will see the actual car end of 2009
- Displacement increased to 4.5L
- The car is almost completely new. Less parts are retained between the f430-f450 than the f360-f430. There was a percentage stated but I don't remember it.
- Car will be lighter and more fuel efficient than its predecessors.

Are they making a Scuderia/Challenge Stradale version?

Oh, and C&D thinks it'll have a five-liter engine. We'll see who's right.:sly:

200 posts for me!

(I'm guessing)
288 = 2.8
308 = 3.0
328 = 3.2
355 = 3.5
360 = 3.6
430 = 4.3
450 = 4.5 :dunce:

Isn't it still using the same engine? I doubt Ferrari would increase the displacement on that engine by a whole .7L...

Way too early for a Stradale model to be considered. It'll most likely happen, but not until the F450 is within its final years. :)

Not to mention the .7 is not needed, F450 will be direct injection 4.5 which can make the power they wish with reserve.

Looks amazingly beautiful and better than the last one. The F430's style is out dated now and ferrari played their cards right.

I agree that F450 looks stunning, its a good move on Ferrari's behalf.

I quite like it, tho the cockpit seems a bit disproportionate to the rest of the car, and please get rid of the cheap faux metal around the front intakes, looks tacky.
