I hope I don't get flamed for advertising. I just thought some people here might find the following information useful. It's a non profit site anyway.

Basically you can add games and cool/crazy animations that every true internet-er should know about (TGS, metal gear awesome etc), to your facebook profile, and play them there, live on the profile. I made this plugin, so feel free to use it and have fun with it.

Quit trying to make F/Book into Myspace.

Excess applications aren't my thing.

It's a networking site, not a 'look at the shiney things in my profile' site.
 
Yeah, the only apps I have are to play Scrabble, the graffiti one and booze mail, of course.

The rest is clutter. I like the simplistic look anyways.
 
like an evil virus, you can try to resist... but they will get you in the end!

and that goes for all the networking sites, most of my friends on facebook haven't even HEARD of faceparty, friendster and linked in let alone been on them lol.

Agreed. I've added only a couple of apps because I find them slightly interesting... one guy on my list has 3 different walls now :indiff: Some people are just retarded and install anything.

And join any group...
 
Facebook was better when it was Uni students only.
All the better that the trendfollowers get off one site and move off somewhere else.

Absolutely.

I can't stand what Facebook has become - one big giant meat market for about 45% of the users, and a massive popularity contest for another 45%... "I'm cooler than you because I installed this horrible vampire app, and now I'm gonna bite you! OH, now come to my profile and tell me if I'm HOT or NOT!"
ugh

I used to use it regularly to organize events and find a few friends that I'd lost contact with when they moved away or graduated from university, but now I only log in once every two or three weeks because that's the most effective way I've found of blocking out the 90% of people that annoy me on there.
 
While I completely agree with you on the junk and idiocy on Facebook, I'm glad it isn't University-only. Mainly because I'm not in University.

I still do use it as a networking tool, and I do organise events with it.

yup i agree. i only really use it to keep track of people who might have become lost in the world.

Just wondering if any of you guys on Facebook ever use the application "Pro Racer"... it is very cool and I'm totally hooked.

I think of it as Gran Turismo Text Edition. It's very addicting.

I started Pro Racer about a few months ago. I currently own a Caparo T1, and am waiting for the Shelby Eleanor GT500 and the F40. Very addictive game indeed.

Unfortunately, I cannot go on at the moment. I keep getting the message:

I agree, the only app I've personally installed is the youtube one because I love music and want to share a bit more of my personal tastes with friends that don't necessarily listen to the same music as i do other than that I do join a lot of pages and groups but again more for my personal interests rather than just to clutter my page, if only the youtube app i use wouldn't show so many thumbnails then it would be cool.

Keep an eye open for me then. I have been an admin since day one of the app and work pretty closly with Roman and the rest of the developers.

Right now I have every car in the game with about 4 million cash to spare.

Race me sometime and let me know who you are. I might be able to hook you up with some good deals on the market place now.

I prefer the gamer "racing fever", i think it is much more a gran turismo text based game. They are also making a racing fever 2 which will be great...

Sell the Caparo to me. :) I currently have a nearly fully tuned M3 on it. Anyone else play Racing Fever 1 & 2?

Agreed, I loved Racing Fever more than Pro Racer. But unfortunately I cannot get to play RF because they have a server error or something. I do play Pro Racer everyday, and right now I have a fully tuned 350Z and about level 7 or so. But I just can't believe the Caparo T1 actually sold out even before I started the game.... :guilty:

Anyone else get an X-Bow on pro racer? I had the money for two, but due to the traffic I was only able to get one.

Really surprises me because I saw one person that was able to buy four. Are there any tips to buying multiple limited editions, because I might sell the X-Bow and go for another.
 
On Pro Racer I managed to buy an AM DBS a few days back (shame it has rubbish colours), nearly fully upgraded. Race me people... :)

How did you manage to do that. I refreshed the page exactly at 4:00, bought one, then struggled to get back into the dealership and made it as they sold out.

Easy. Don't just click once to buy one then refresh and do the same... whenever the time comes you just spam the crap out of that buy button until the server has a thermonuculear meltdown and kicks everyone off of the app. ;)

We decided to start limiting the amount of LE's you can buy at the dealership after I saw 2 guys each of whom both had over 20 KTMs!

If I may ask, where do you guys get that kind of money from? Personally I'm struggling to just buy an M3 atm. Do you just collect money over time? Or is there some trick involved to get big money?

Mother 🤬! I missed everything again. :guilty: First I missed the Hernessey Viper, and now the KTM X-Bow. I hate you 🤬 Americans when you release your LE's like this. 🤬 you!!!!! [/rant]

On a note, I guess I'm not gonna buy anything till I have enough money to buy something really good. I also wanna ask, is the SSC Aero a LE as well? Sucks to know when I have enough money to buy, it has already sold out. :grumpy: Also like Leon, how the 🤬 do you guys make money in the game. I played almost everyday and the most I could get would be around 15k each day. 👎
