Facelifted Porsche 911 Turbo

I think the issue I have, TVB nailed right on the head. The Turbo model has become relatively unimportant in the performance side of things, compared with the GT3 and GT2 models. Thus, it's grown fat, and a little unhappy, and is now unwilling to change it's basic design.

Even the refreshed GT3 looks substantially different. The Carrera's changed a bit, too. The turbo...got different taillights.

'cmon...some wide fenders and a lunch tray, how hard is that.

Quite true. If you ever see someone pushing a 911 to the edge and compare it to a 50/50 car such as a BMW you will notice... <SNIP>

Actually, I'm speaking from personal experience, having driven several 911s and owned many BMWs over the years. :)
