Whereas we can't ban someone for using a "facepalm" picture in a post, and we don't see fit to ban people over typing "facepalm", like anything else over-repeated on this (or really any other) forum, it will become less and less meaningful as a response. A user who essentially repeats the same tripe over and over again without much in the way of unique context is a low-quality member indeed.

Use of the image without context, proof, and/or a supporting argument is kind of a post-whoring attitude which we don't need at GTPlanet...That said, there are couple times, after a lengthy and proper argument, in which one party clearly isn't getting it, a facepalm image is really the only answer, since we can't electroshock nor whack a cattle prod at other members.

Better members usually come up with a better and more unique response, and like any other meme that has become stale, it will just go away after a while.

^ Really? Did you really just do that? You just bazillion-facepalmed a super mod.

How dare you. 👎

:p

Probably "Who cares."

Plus I haven't seen a lot of facepalms outside of this thread, in fact I only saw one last month. And that was in the R-37.0 GTR thread.

Which kind of deserved a facepalm.

Indeed. That thread if what deserved all the facepalmage. However, if something should be against AUP, it's constant whining about release date and standard cars.

So what's the decision?
It's OK. I understand irnbrutwinturbo may find these sorts of images annoying, but I think prohibiting them would be a bit over-the-top.

You got that right. I believe it was worthy of even a double facepalm.

Is this honestly a thread? I'm probably the only person that regularly uses them outside of the GT sections (which honestly, are just giant facepalms themselves) and I've hardly found them to be an issue.

Some people man, just can't handle their memes.
