Hello all!

I've been searching for info on the false starts option now available in lobby racing, but can't really find detailed info or footage.

Can someone explain to me how they work? Is there any difference how they work for controller or wheel users?

If there has already been a discussion on the topic and I missed it in my search, please link me and close this thread :)

Thanks! :)

If it's the same as in GT5/6, which I assume it is, then you have to keep your brakes on till the start then hit the gas. If you take off the line early then you get a forced slow down penalty. Though in GT Sport the penalty might be one you serve as & when. Just assumptions, would like to know from someone who has used it in GT Sport.

Well me and my brother did a little test tonight and it is indeed that way.

When the lights come on you need to be on the brake or handbrake, and let go once it's green light. If you false start you get a forced penalty, as in the gas wont work. So fortunately, no chance of exploiting a false start and scrub the penalty later :)

in addition, your car DOES NOT ghost as it did in GT6. So drivers behind on the grid need to be on their game not to smack into the rear of the penalised car.
I run a series with ghosting on weak and the car did finally ghost once the penalty wore off before the driver got back up to speed lol
