Hi guys,

As stated in the FAQ in GT5 website, the family pack doesn't enable the transfer of suits and helmets.

That being said, if I've been playing my US GT5 (~95% complete) using a Singapore account, is there a way I can get the racing gear without having to restart the game using a US account?

I've researched and found nothing, and it looks like there isn't a solution....
Any other guys here facing this multi-region issue?

Does this apply to the complete DLC pack too as opposed to just the standalone paint/gear pack?

Since PD has released a Family Upgrade patch, purchasing the complete pack will allow you to use the DLC cars and tracks on different regional accounts (i've tried).

However, this doesn't apply to the paints, suits and helmets which come with the complete pack.

Oh... I has an argentinian main account and an US secondary account but the first batch of DLC is not available in both (even after the familiy pack), in my main account only the track pack is available :(

Cheers matey. Ah well, the cars and Spa are most important to me anyway..... I can live without the paints, and the gear....... they can stay on my old account :)

Can't agree more - CARS and SPA are all I need!
A little disappointed that I can't drive as Stig though...

For the family pack to work, the DLC must be purchased from the PSN store associated with your game disc region e.g. US DLC for US disc, Asia DLC for Asia disc - only then would the family upgrade unlock the cars/tracks in the other accounts.

Yes, I know, but my BR disc is US region too... in fact the DLC in my secondary account works fine (cars, tracks, paints, doll´s dresses :sly: ... everything)

it also doesn't include some cars, such as the 125 kart sp (in which you can use racing softs) and the ft-86 concept II given to people that bought the first batch of dlc twice.

am I missing something else?

go to psn store (using your US account) and download the car pack family upgrade for free, then log off and enter the game using your Argentinian account and install the said family upgrade in-game.

Our specific situation is that there's no southamerican psn store, so we have to create a US account only for buying dlc. It's the same ps3 and disc region but SA accounts just can't buy dlc.
While the family upgrade was awesome, it could have been a bit better if it included racing gear, paints and other non tradeable cars.

:dunce: I will try this, thanks...

i wonder if there is a reason as to why there is no family pack option for the paints and gears..... Unless it is something they will make available soon?

Just as a side note, I could not find the family pack in the GT5 dlc section in the PSN store. I had to use the 'search' function to manually find it.
