Hola.

Well, it's like this. I got bored, so I started taking photos of the Hidden Package locations. Then I decided that I've got 500Mb of space to use on my site, so I may as well use it...

I've started to put together a GTAVC Apocalypse Zone, to go with my GT3 one (GT2 and GT1 to be refurbished a little later - with maybe a GTC one as well). I've obviously started with the Hidden Packages - I'm up to "number" 50 (all of Ocean Beach, Washington Beach, Vice Point, Starfish Island and Leaf Links done).

But I need some pictures to populate the site - it's looking a bit bare without any image at the top of the screen so far.

Please, if you could spare the time, post in-game pictures in this thread - I'm looking for anything: explosions, decapitations - hell, even just driving around. I would like the game logo from the opening sequence. Anyone with the PC version is welcome to contribute too (indeed it may be easier... :D).

Anyone who can help will get a mention on the site (big reward, I know).

All that I have managed so far is the first 50 hidden packages - http://www.famine-online.co.uk/gtavc/gtavchp.html - feel free to offer constructive criticism (the background colour and font/link colours are staying, so nothing like that please). Bear in mind I will be making it framinated, like the GT3 site, when there's a little more content.


Thanks for your help... 56k modems make browsing for pictures a living hell... :D
 
Well, I do have quite a few screenshots of Vice City saved on my Hard Drive, but they are of course of the PS2 version, so are of questionable quailty. I will post them if you want them.

I do however have a few good quaility screenshots from the PC version. I have acquired them from people sending me them over MSN. They are of mostly modded things though, such as cars, bikes, and even the Harrier jet. If you would like these, I could get the permission of the people and post them as well.
 
Hmm. Not sure about the modded things.. The site will be mainly PS2 version based as I have no experience with the PC version (yet... £14.99 is tempting).

I'll be resizing and chopping most of the images I get, so PS2 ones are absolutely fine - the ones on the pages so far are PS2 version, on a £70 14" TV taken with a 1.3MPi camera... :D How's THAT for dodgy quality :D

EDIT #1: Also, just noticed that the picture for Hidden Package 18 is dead.

EDIT #2:The wording of this just dosen't sound right "If you have finished the game story missions ("Keep Your Friends Close") "
It should mabye read "If you have finished the last main storyline mission (Keep Your Friends Close..)"

EDIT #3: "PSG-100" You refer to the Sniper Rifle that you can acquire at the Ammu-Nation in Downtown, and at the Kauphman (sp) Cabes sign in Little Havana, as the PSG-100. I don't know about your crazy UK version of the game, but in mine it's the PSG-1.
 
Possibly. But you can only get one picture at a time. Get fraps from www.fraps.com It enables you to take loads in one go.
 
What size do want them Famine. I could save you some work. I should have a bunch by tommorow. Thanks Daan for showing me that program.:)

I see what you mean about the quality though... :D

The link for #18 is dead because there is no picture for #18 yet... I restarted a game to do the Hidden Packages, and I think I'll have to wait until I've got the cop uniform to a) survive that far or b) stand around while I take photos of it... :D

Same applies for the one outside Fort Baxter... :D


Slick - Nice :D I'd love screenshots of pretty much anything - some nice big explosions would be good, Tommy in a variety of vehicles too. Just anything you can think of. I'm going to make a collage of shots and have one or two randomly generated ones (as with GTP's logo in the top left there). That Angel jumping one is a keeper for sure... :D Some nice shots there.

I am after the main game logo - at the end of the intro movie - in particular.
 
Man, these ARE NOT 56k friendly, especially since my 56k only does 32.1, grrrrrrrrrrr! But after 30 minutes of loading up the page (I'm serious) I saw some damn nice screenshots. Good work slick, and Acidmna, nice to finally get a shot of the bodyguards. Have a good one guys.
 
Good stuff slick! Damn you and your computer version being able to AIM the minigun and other weapons at things like helicopters, and well, helicopters.

Good shots though.

Famine have you updated your site with any pics yet? I'd like to see it when it has some of slicks kick ass images.

You can aim the minigun on the PC version? That means you could blow up the police chopper when it's close without doing damage to yourself. That'd be cool...

Blake - not yet. I'm not falling into the trap of doing too many things at once. I've nearly finished the Hidden Packages section now. Then it's the Unique Jumps and Rampages. THEN, when I've got three types of content I'll build an index page.

I plan to jam some Javascript in there to pull random images from a given set of images to display at the top of each page. All of Slick's images will make it (albeit smaller, and jpg :D).


Edit: Speaking of which, the Hidden Packages section is now complete - just with photos need for the Fort Baxter package and the police station package. UJs tomorrow :D
 
Could someone who has the computer version get me some nice pics of a blue banshee, without hud mode or mini map please and also in cinamatioc mode if it's not too much trouble.
 
I was checking your hidden package photos, and the #18(inside the cop shop) has the photo for the package inside Sunshine Auto.:D
