Santa Claus is a drunk, cynical codger. There's only so much mileage, right?

Wrong. Hilarious throughout. I haven't laughed this much at any film ever - with the possible exception of the equally-sweary South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut. Sure, there's the odd weak moment and the "ending" is a little lame (though there's only three routes they could have gone - get away, get caught, get shot) but it in no way detracts from the rest of the film. Especially the girl with the Santa fetish (who the wierd kid refers to as "Mrs. Santa's sister"...), the "Big & Tall "changing room scene and everything Marcus says.

If you're feeling humbuggy, watch this film. Do it. Now.

I don't think I liked it as much as you did, but I thought it was pretty good. Definitely worth seeing. 👍

I do have to say that I enjoyed this movie, and the missus didn't.

It really was quite fun.

I hate that this film was poo-pooed by the critics because it was a downer Christmas movie. But I love movies that are either about Christmas or take place during Christmas that aren't all sparkly and filled with warmth and good-cheer, like The Ref and, to a lesser extent, Scrooged. I still have to rent the uncut version called "Badder Santa," but from what I remember when I watched this one in the theatre, it was quite good. And that's despite me not really liking Billy Bob too much.

Famine, each time I think I know what you're going to say about a particular movie before I open the thread, you pull a complete 180 and surprise me. Oh well, I guess you keep me on my toes!
