That question is misleading! That's not the "phonetic" alphabet! It has nothing to do with pronunciation, it has to do with clarity during radio transmissions. I knew this answer, I just got waylaid by the question. I was trying to come up with some sort of pronunciation abbreviation like they give in a dictionary.

The question did specify "phonetic (or RT) alphabet".

The RT (radio telecommunication or radiotelephony) alphabet is also known as "the NATO phonetic alphabet" (see this Wikipedia article).

Sorry.

Is Gibraltar Airport really an 'international' airport?

As far as i can google, only Monarch and BA fly to Gib. With Gibraltar being part of the UK, surely flights from UK airlines from UK airports make these flights internal?

The airport's also operated by the British Royal Air Force making it technacally a Air Force base and not a civilian airport perhaps?

...not trying to be difficult, i'm sure my answer to the question is also wrong.

-8.2 x 10^23

 I don't even know that the hell that is....

Perhaps its the amount of points Sheffield Wednesday have in their entire history... :grumpy:

It's classed as an International Airport by the IATA and flights must cross airspace of other territories to reach it.

Edit: Oh, and this.

Not required, but appreciated.

I didn't even think of Gibraltar - my bad, to coin a phrase. I also thought Richard Burns was Scottish - my bad again.

I've just searched on Gogle and too many referneces to it call it an international airport to be wrong.

:D

It also apparently has flights to Morocco. Badda-bing.

You could easiely hanglide from the top of 'the rock' to Morocco - you can see it on a clearish day.

I can expel a fart with enough ferocity that it would cross the US/Canada border. If I were standing at it.
