I unfortunately have to order the standard porsche wheel set and not the csp set. Is the standard porsche wheel set better than the Dfgt peddle set. How is the build quality compared to the Dfgt peddles . I look forward for comments from those who had both and others that could help. I know at least i get a clutch pedal . Thanks.

p.s. at least i can get the Porsche 911 GT3 RS V2 Wheel, order going in this weekend

I am in the same boat. I can't afford the clubsports right now either. Would like to hear from others as well.

Never used the DFGT pedals but look to be comparable to the Xbox pedals with weak resistance. The Fanatec basic pedals are actually not that bad. The gas has very little resistance...pretty floppy. The brake on the other hand is very hard, but it has a short throw. I guess it tries to emulate ABS short stroke. The clutch is heavy at first, then about half way down looses it's resistance.

They would be alright if they didn't seem to have a high rate of failure. Mine broke after a month, but was promptly replaced. Many others have reported problems with the pedometers either not reading full input when completely depressed, or fluxating input.

I would say get a pair of g25/27 pedal sets if you can. You can usually find them for sale around 80$. Those are stout, and feel great IMO.

Thanks.Unfortunately i have no choice can't find on E-bay any g25 peddles. I would like to hear from others on their experience with the standard porsche wheel set. So i have a clue of what I'm getting into.

I've just got mine, the wheel is a broken (USB socket is loose so can't plug it in properly). Have managed to play a bit with and the pedals feel really good. Have not used any others so can't compare really, but they are nicely weighted. Time will tell how well they last hough.

Mike thanks, please keep me informed of your experience with the standard porsche pedal set. please let me know of quality and feel of the pedals and how did you mount them as i have to figure a way to mount them to the WSP. Let me know if have any connectivity problems or pedal power failure to (ps3/pc-whichever one your using)

I have both the clubsport and fanatec standard pedals. Let's just say I have had to go in twice to reseat the sensors inside. I glued them in so I hope they don't come lose again. I use both pedals because I have a gt3rs v2 wheel with the standard pedals on a rennsport wheelstand. I have gt2 with clubsports on a playseat. Fanatec needs to better develop their standard pedals.

I've not actually mounted them as such, they have Velcro on the bottom so stick to the carpet ok. One day I might mount them and build a proper set up, but first Fanatec need to at least fix / replace the wheel. I'll try to remember to update my views on the pedals a little down the line, maybe do a review of the carrera wheel set as a whole.

I cannot comment on the DFGT pedals, but I just received a set of Fanatec Standard Pedals with my GT2 wheel.

I have to say, they are not a bad set of pedals for $50. The gas has little to no resistance though, kind of tough to gauge the percentage of power to give in turns without spinning out. The brake and clutch though are great. A lot of people have complained about the brake giving way in time. I found this to be true if you drive with 2 feet and keep constant pressure on the brake. If you float the left foot over the brake and use accordingly, it works perfectly.(I have a friend that I have now banned from using my wheel b/c he does not realize these are toys)

I guess that line brings me to my next point. Remember, these are TOYS, this is not a real car, and they will break/wear down with excessive force of use. I would say you should just bypass these for the clubsports, but if on a budget, and want something short-term, the standard pedals are a good resolution.

I hope this helps some of you out.....

Hi ck22, I have the clubsport pedals myself but when weighing up what to buy it was the view that the standard pedals were not considered to be particularly. I think the video review linked below demonstrates this. Of course not owning a set I cannot comment on the longetivity of them. I chose the Clubsport Pedals, a Turbo S wheel (and Rennesport wheel stand) purely because I wanted a set up that could handle all games/sims until the next generation of console (and hopefully beyond as I knew my finances would not allow me to buy replacements or single format equipment for a long to come.
