Fanatec CSP V2 or...?

Hello, right now I own a Fanatec 911 GT3RS Racing wheel and the Clubsport Pedals V1. I drive only on Playstation 3 (and maybe one time PS4 :-)), no PC.
Now I frequently have problems with the pedals, as known from many users (Cellload, etc.) and I think of buying a new pedal set.
Are the CSP V2 more reliable than the V1? Is there a alternative pedal set which will work with my wheel (and maybe a CS Wheel Base V2 in the future)?

Thank you for help and experiences.

Best regards
Markus

I've had a set of V2's for about two years now and they have been brilliant. No issue's whatsoever. Not only that but the the clutch and brake pedals are great updates.

What is "etc." though? I doubt that the V2s will fare any better in the loadcell department.

I have V1s but they're not my primary set. If they were I'd be tempted to upgrade to V2s, but really just for the clutch. I've put an rc shock on the brake and have never had any issues with reliability.

Comparing at stock, it's probably worth the upgrade to V2s, just don't expect improvements where there may logically be none.

I give the CSR Elite pedals very high marks for quality, reliability and cost, if you want to save a $100 bucks.

Thank you for reply.
With etc. I meant the sensors, which I also had to change from time to time. :-)

What is your primary pedal set and which RC-shocks did you put on?

V2's all the way, $ for $ Nothing come's close.

Shock to use on the V2's is the Mugen MBX7 Rear shocks. Available on ebay for 25-40$

I have a set of CST Perfromance F1 pedals. I got mine for around the price of Clubsports, but they're usually very expensive, and pc only). The RC shock was nothing special, if I was using my CSP with any sort of regularity I would heed @Nick Moxley's advice on the recommended Mugen shock.

On the sensors - I can't imagine that they would be any different to the V1s either.

Personally, on a budget, I'd put the money towards a V2 wheel base and get some nice Mugen damping going on the V1 brake pedal.

Is drilling into the pedal required? My CSR Elite pedals are brand new :scared: ...
To me it looks like it should be possible to unscrew the loadcell sensitivity beacket and add a bracket to hold one end of the shock. The holes in the pedal arm are not too hard to rig the other end up to. This way you could return it to stock for any warranty or re-sale purposes.

Thx to LeMansAid and Nick Moxley, sounds reasonable. I will try the Mugen with the V1 - is there a instruction manual how to put the shcks on a V1 brake?

Do you have the means to rig up a little bracket and stand off for the shock ? If not i would just suggest going the V2 route and looking at the Mugen shock as an upgrade at a later date or right away if funds allow.

Its Amazing what a proper Shock feels like on the brake pedal, I could only imagine how a Plain jane load cell would feel like without any dampening like the elite's.

Ordering from China or HK is no big deal, just take a little longer is all pending where your at in the world. Plus the saving's is there, if you want i can also link you the plugs you need to solder on to the cells.

also just make sure those are the "REAR" shocks, Not fronts.

Feels just fine, you would probably be very surprised but I know what you're trying to do with this post.
