Fanatec CSW: rim wishes

I thought we could start a thread for posting everyones rim wishes.
Of course we could continue it in the Fanatec Announcements thread, but so we have a better overview.

Mine: Sparco or OMP
Diameter: between 315-350
Type: Rally or GT

The best, as already stated in the Announcements Thread: beeing able to attach every rim wanted to the CSW base :)
But for the start I find the BMW rim a good decision (my girlfriend would take the Formula rim)

I meant exactly that thread and your post, but I thought it would be a better overview having the CSW rims in a separated thread.
If its better to have all in the other thread, please move my post and delete the thread.

BTW: I have been reading a lot of threads an especially the new Fanatec products. The reviews of the CSR Elite are awesome and cant wait for the CSW to come out.

Oh, I was just giving you my idea... a separate thread is fine. In fact it would be cool to get a bunch of rims and then have the community vote on which ones they like the most.

You should run a poll of the types of rims people are after. Number 1 for me would a rally type rim, although i wouldn't be purchasing a high end wheel for a good few years yet.
 
one thing i would like to see on a wheel is a working horn button haha, since GT5 has horns. This is something i actually wanted to mod when i had my momo monte carlo on my g25 setup. Its not really important or needed but just a nice little feature i thought would be cool

And i really like paskowitz idea of an adapter+buttonbox+after market rim of choice
 
I just want to see CSR E versions of the already announced BMW and F1 wheel and I'll be golden.

I can patiently wait for them too as I already like the standard CSR E wheel. I own a CSR and I find it quite nice to use but I'd be lying if I said I didn't much prefer a wheel with a full Alcantara covered rim.

It would be good though if Fanatec or an aftermarket vendor came up with a new hub that had integral paddle shifters that the modder crowd could attach any wheel they want.
 
Different wieghts of rims would be interesting. I wonder if a heavier rim might provide a better experience for me as I do grip the wheel quite tight.
 
I want a wheel that had a PS button at least.

But like I said in the announcement thread. A nice t spoke brushed aluminum wheel with nice quality leather and a size of 30-32cm. Also a button box accessory that is attachable to the base or something. Just for your D-pad and ps, start and select buttons.

I would also like an actual lmp style rim...

There's so many it is unrealistic for fanatec to satisfy everyone
 
Mainly, I am looking for a pure round rim, one without the 9-3 or 10-2 hand positions. For me, it is easier to let it slide through the hands.

So for the above, obviously the R333. But, to be clear, either ENTIRELY suede or alcantra only. No rubber or plastic pieces or components.
 
I want a classic wheel, preferably something like the ferrari 250 wheel.

as well as an an LMP wheel, preferably something like the audi R15 wheel.

as much as I'd like those two, the porsche 918 RSR wheel (which combines classic brown leather with a more modern carbon fiber button insert and an LED tachometer) would be my ultimate wish

oh, and more CSR E rims! I'm happy with the current rim, but I'd be much happier with something like the BMW GT2 rim!
 
I still can't believe this appears to actually be such a strong selling point. I mean, it's cool and all, but using the rim of my choice ranks only slightly above the color of the wheel in my priority list. Yet it always seems to be the first or second thing anybody mentions as to why we should be excited by these new wheels.

I'm fine with how my GT3 looks(though It would look much different if I designed it myself), I just hope I can keep it for more than two months without having to get it repaired again this time. That's more of where my priorities lie. Sorry, don't mean to spoil the thread It's just been confusing me for a while.

And the porsche rim. Only if it comes with the flux capacitor sitting in the passenger cabin in that pic ;)

918 RSR is ultimate wheel I would love to host and use.

Leather, carbon, ergonomy, functionality. Perfection.

Yeah I'm up in the air about the rims. I would have gladly just got the BMW and F1 rim leaving out the current rim completely. As it stands the only other rim I'm looking for is the F1 at the moment, as I don't have the coin now to add the BMW rim on top.
