How long did Fanatec take to respond to a support issue?

...just to make sure they remembered to turn the thing on. Just a thought....

Even today, the old appliance repairman saying about plugging in the product remains true. It's their number one finding when they show up…"device was unplugged…plugged it back in…now works according to specs…billed customer" in some surveys. And if you ever call for PC service they ask you things like is the unit plugged in? Have you pressed the power button?

A friend's garage door business does many repairs in addition to new installations. The number one reason for significant repairs is that the person backed their car right through the garage door. Does the customer need to be advised, trained, and encouraged to breathe too?

I don't know if it affects the sim racing world or not, but I keep reading about declining literacy rates. For instance only 20% of NYC schools high school graduates…can read. Can that be true?

I have fantastic news on a not so fantastic situation.

My CSR fans are dying. Slowly and unpredictably, crying out in pain. So I sent Fanatec an e-mail yesterday explaining the situation. By the time I woke up this morning Fanatec had responded and had 2 options to help me resolve the situation. We will put these fans out of their misery!

Label me one happy customer.

Hey Fanatec, i just got my new Clubsport BMW Wheel and base along with Pedals v2 up and running tonight - just one issue that is bugging me, downshifting on the wheel paddle shifters from 3rd to 2nd it tends to go in neutral on a regualr basis, but it seems ok upshifting.

Any tips to prevent the down shift Neutral? is this a bug?or comon issue - let me know if this is the right area to discuss or should i just hit up there community channel via there website?

Cheers
Frank

It doesn't sound like it could be a problem with the wheel as clicking the paddle will only instruct the game to change gear - not what gear it should go to.

What game are you running? Have you had that game running with another wheel OK?

I am having an absolutely AWFUL experience with the fanatec customer service, and before you jump on me, yes I provided ALL the necessary information to them. I am a new customer that was shipped a faulty product. Can someone please tell me how to contact this Thomas person that was mentioned at the beginning of the thread or is he no longer available? Thanks so much! Happy racing to all.
