Oups sorry ....I didn't understand then...🤣🤣 my age certainly...🤣🤣.
And it's true that you have SimNet, since we've already talked about it.
Yes, they are phenomenal! That is why I am surprised someone said to skip load cell

Hey folks.

I'm looking for user experiences from those who switched from the standard CSL brake pedal to a load cell one. I've read it's stiffer but what I'm interested in is if it made you faster (after practice). Not interested in the immersion aspect. Thanks.

"Brake with consistency and confidence with the CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit. You’ll be smashing your personal best laps in no time."

Really!?
I used the stock G29 pedals for a while and then upgraded the brake to the Truebrake system, which isn't a loadcell but it mimics it. I then moved over to Fanatec and got the V3s. Moving over from a gear driven to DD did not make much of a difference to me in terms of being faster, but the loadcell brakes definitely made my braking more consistent. Once you build up the muscle memory, there is no longer the need to guess your braking inputs.

Yes, I also don't really understand this advice because the feel and the degressiveness are the opposite of Fanatec pedals.
Oh. Hey. My bad. I was passing out. I thought you were referring to fanatec’s csl load cell add on pedal.

I know very little about simnets load cell, but would probably get it for all the reasons others have listed.

Heck..depending on @Yard_Sale s review once the podium’s land, i might follow you with the Sim’s. The only thing keeping me from going there, was the hope Fanatec would incorporate full force capabilities, into their podium line.

In other news, did the firmware update on the dd+ and it was pretty nice with road cars. The weight of the wheel, and feel of the car felt more realistic. Only did a 30min stint in vr, and the update nuked my settings, so very fwiw presently, will mess around more today.

You’ll be able to count on me for a good review. I’m currently using my old CSL elite load cells after upgrading my V3’s and fiddling/extensively modifying them over two years, just to go back to my CSL’s that use a combination of 95 shore elastomers and 85 shore elastomers (from the new CSL elites) along with some custom elastomers I cut myself, to get the feeling just right - and much better than I could get my V3’s. I hear people have been using Husinkveld elastomers on their CSL’s too. I want to try that as well

I’ll be stoked if the Podiums are even better than my current setup!

Skip load cell to go right to hydraulic perhaps? That would be about the only reason why to skip load cells.

Fun and games with the firmware update again, the wheelbase kept disconnecting during the firmare update process which is rather scary! :( Swapping USB port resolved the issue, so either the port on the PC or extension cable I use.

18Nm now available, but will never be used, I guess I will start at 50 percent in game and adjust from there!

Try setting the controller vibration to 150 in the GT7 options and set Full Force to 75 on the wheel.
That's what works best for me, you'll feel the engine vibrating on idle, gear changes and every rumble strip.
As for the wheel, I set in game torque to 8 and sensitivity at 1
On the wheel my settings are:
Sens auto
FFB 60
FUL 75
NDP 50
NFR OFF
NIN OFF
INT 11
FEI 100
FOR 100
SPR 100
DPR 100
BLI & BRF are personal preference but I have my BRF at 65
I've just paused the game mid race after trying out your settings.
I owe one, big time.
Thanks a million.

I’m genuinely confused. In your first message, you suggested skipping the load cell. Then I asked why, and in your next message you said that for a little more, you could get the load cell. I’m completely lost. I probably don’t fully understand what you’re trying to say—could you clarify?
He's showing up as blocked for me, I'm not sure why but I'm guessing it's justified after reading your reply!

I had the pedals you're talking about, I bought the load cell and it made a big difference.
For what it's worth though, splash out on the V3's. You won't regret it, I promise.

Does anyone know how to change the layout in the app showing the tuning menu from this:

To this:

See how he's got his presets showing horizontally instead of vertical like I have. I want them displayed horizontally like that so I can screenshot them in case something happens and everything gets reset. Plus since I can't figure out how to assign them to each game it's the only backup I have.

This is not me who is asking. I have Simnets loadcell. I just asked they guy why he said to skip the loadcell

Order these springs right away, you'll thank me later :)

You can find them everywhere for sure, ebay, amazon, aliexpress. Blue and yellow is a good combo, just make sure you get the right dimensions, like shown in this photo above :)

My previous CSL LC, a night and day difference compared to the stock one:
