Has anyone here had experience with the Simnet SP Pro pedals?

They're not a Fanatec product but they are Fanatec compatible, even on console.

I've seen a few comments elsewhere saying that they're like "the Podium pedals we never got officially" and "as good as the Heusinkveld Ultimates that their design is based off of".

Yep, I've been using them for about 6-7 months now and they're really good. Great build quality and loads of adjustability.

Any issues when using them on console?

I assume you'd need to do all your calibration etc. on PC but maybe after that it's "set and forget".

Also any detailed thoughts on the brakes?

I'm considering getting these for Xbox. I currently use CSL Elite V2 (with Heusinkveld elastomers and springs) and previously used inverted ClubSport V3s.

No issues on console and as you say any calibration needs to be done on PC. I always recalibrate whenever I change elastomers or the preload. If you order them you may want to get the spring kit for the brake as well. I don't have it yet but it'll give way more options when it comes to finding the feel you want.
I'm pretty much using the stock elastomers other than swapping one for a slightly firmer option but am really happy. I see some people changing between different games but I keep the same so the feel is consistent.

Were you using Fanatec pedals before? I'm curious what the build quality comparison is. They look really good for the price.

The V2's you have are still considered really good pedals. My non inverted v3's are coming up on 8 years old now, so I think it's time for an upgrade. Even with the damper kit on the brake and throttle, they are starting to show their age.

Yeah I just had the CSL pedals with load cell so can only compare with them. Build quality on the Simnets is excellent, much better than the CSLs, and the adjustability is great. The PC software is really good as well. I don't think they can be beaten for the price tbh, the adjustable heel plate is a really nice touch and well worth the extra money.

Its almost stunning that with companies making such good pedals that fanatec is still lagging behind with their geriatric v3’s, and also that the GT7 folks are incapable, or unwilling to support the various rumbles, which would be useful to driving.

yea kind of crazy how many wheel and base options there are but Fanatec is severely lacking pedal options.

I had the first csl and am now using the V2 and I know they can do a lot better. Actually got them because the V3 were a bit out dated a year ago

Hear ya. I was sure the v3’s were about to be supplanted by a ‘podium,’ level replacement somewhere in the ‘22-‘23 time frame…and i have a deep hate for trying to future proof my stuff only to have an upgrade release within 6months or whatever. Yet here we are 😂

Definitely interested in these pedals. So if I wanted a 3 pedal set for Gran Turismo with lots of adjustability, I would want the 3 pedal set, adjustable heel plate and the spring kit, right?

No need for the haptic and power adapter stuff?

I assume you've got a shifter if you'd want the 3 pedal set. I don't so just went for the 2, the heel plate is really good and the spring kit recommended as it'll give you loads more options for the brake.
I'm on the Simnet discord group and apparently the haptics do work for GT7 but you need to have the control box (with power adapter) connected to a PC & Simhub. Some people are saying that for the time being you might even need two control boxes to get it to work.
I'm tempted to get haptics as I've now got a gaming PC but tbh I'm not bothered about having them for GT7.

You won’t regret it adding haptics to your setup. While I don’t have the Simnet haptics, I do have just a single Simagic P-HPR for my P1000 pedal set. I only use it to detect ABS (as that’s the only output detected by iRacing) and being able to actually feel that threshold has been game changing to me.

Is a control box included w the set or sold spearately?

I got the control box included but no power supply. If you go for a set with haptics I don't know if the PSU is included then or a separate purchase.
Thx its console only atm so not looking at the haptics, just connecting to the wheelbase

You'll be good then, just plug the pedals into the control box, get them updated and setup on the PC first, then just connect to the wheelbase with the original Fanatec cable.

I've been eyeing these for a while now. Just wondering, did you get yours on simnetracing.com or some local reseller? It seems they are cheaper on their site even with the enourmous shipping costs. However I am a bit worried about warranty as they seem to be shipping from China. There's also a coupon code that I found in one of the review videos for the official site: "src".

I bought mine from a dealer in the UK. Just did a search and found two Polish dealers, Simline and Sim-Shop.
