So have just completed tearing out my V3i and installing the SimNets so initial reaction is still mixed

The brake I’m going to need a lot of time to sort - way off my current muscle memory after a few years w the V3 and BPK w my first try

The LC emulation means that there is no longer the brake force adjustment on the wheel which is a bit of a negative to me ATM as I had different BRF for some of my settings

And that means the laptop has to be open and connected to tune it which is another thing to setup until I get this sorted - and not so handy in VR

So many options between the springs and elastomers but at least dead easy to change them out

Clutch is not bad but the V3 and V3i still has a much better clutch action - if that matters - I use it a lot
So with additional miles and some brake tuning, I’m impressed w this set. Much more finese in the braking

Very well built, lots of adjustment. No compatability issues so far. Heel plate and base work well but no cable management included

Being somehwat price competitive w the current ELite V2 and the CSP V3’s these should be considered if looking for an upgrade or alternative

There seems to be a bug with GT DD Extreme and the mouse on Gran Turismo 7 is moving by itself.
ACP mode in analog axes is work around.

I wonder if it will continue but without the Mclaren branding as far as I'm aware that's the issue?
Never tried one myself but most people recommend them for the value for money.

It's not just the branding unfortunately as the wheel is a copy of the actual GT3 wheel. The McLaren licence has gone to Logitech so I don't think there'd be any way for them to sell it minus the branding.

Yep.

Personally, been waiting for gt7 to implement full force, before risking a firmware update.

Haven’t seen any reason to deviate from that.

Can certainly see the logic, however it is useful to know if your wheelbase can safely do an update before the warranty runs out in case the worst happens. Been ok for me so far, but 468 looked especially risky so I passed on that one

But aside from PVGT my other rims seem all good in ACC, & F1 but this did not fix my issues w FH5

The Formula wheel that came with my DD1 PS4 edition just collects dust. I prefer the McLaren wheel.

Last Friday night I ordered a Clubsport Shifter and Clubsport V3 pedals and they were delivered today. I was surprised at how quick it was considering both packages came from Texas. I wasn't dinged with any border fees or taxes either.

I'm getting used to the pedals and very happy overall. I probably won't use the shifter much but I wanted to have that option, being able to switch between sequential and h pattern is very cool. My only gripe is that the brake feels too soft for me, I have the pre-load setting maxed out and it's still not enough. I prefer the feel of the csl load cell.

Get the Brake Performance kit to improve the brake feel and stiffen it up

After discussing that the first step for Fanatec was integration and the second, extending distribution, La explained: “The third step is to step up on roadmap and releasing new products.”

“You will start to see some of the new products coming out towards Q4 this year, we’re very excited about that.”

I hope there will be some new (podium?) pedal sets and dashboard products (that work with the wheelbases and are console compatible/platform independent)
Fanatec, having weathered a tariff storm earlier this year – first rising prices, and then reversing – is now facing a fresh threat of tariffs on semiconductors made outside of the USA.
They should call it the "make america great again" price for us citizens (and "brexit" price for the british people while were at it) :D

Pedals with motors strong enough to be integrated with full force would be an instant preorder. Same with the shifter. If you grind a gear you should feel it.

It’ll be very interesting to see what Fanatec comes out with. If they release a Podium pedal set, I’d be curious to see what market level they go for. I don’t think they don’t need to be anything too high-end like an active pedal but something in the higher-mid range would be perfect.

With the McLaren Clubsport wheel no longer in production, I wonder if they will come out with a more modern GT-style wheel to compete with the likes of the Simagic GT Neo and Conspit 300GT.

Maybe a new Formula wheel too? Could be exciting times ahead if you’re a Fanatec user.

My guess for new products:

  • Clubsport v4 pedals
  • Podium wheelbases refreshed with Fullforce
  • Some Podium line new products ( pedals, shifter, F1 steering wheel)
  • Clubsport dashboard with data transfer even through WiFi (console compatible also)
  • Introduction of the can port functionality on some new products ( i bet through Clubsport v4 pedals)

Firmware Manager / Updater

  • Re-enabled the BMR update by adding a popup with instructions how to update the BMR Firmware from V1.0.0.6 to V1.0.1.1 on a CSL DD and GT DD Pro due to an update issue in the old BMR Firmware V1.0.0.6 on these bases.
Podium DD Bases

  • Fixed miss-shifts and button input issues with the Button Modules.
  • Fixed connection loss of the Button Modules.
  • Fixed ITM not working on the BME.
  • Fixed ITM issues of the Podium DD and BME ITM (return-to-fav-page feature, auto-page-switch feature and speed value).
  • Fixed randomly opening Tuning Menu selection screen.
  • Fixed Tuning Menu settings reset when attaching the Bentley GT3 Steering Wheel or restarting the base.
ClubSport DD Bases

  • Fixed too low FullForce strength.
  • Fixed slow USB connection which took around 4 seconds to establish.
  • Fixed slow Base Mode changes which now happen instantly.
  • Fixed Base freezes after detaching non-LC pedals with the Base powered-on.
  • Fixed Base freezes on boot with an Xbox compatible wheel attached when it was powered-off in Xbox mode.
  • Fixed Base boots in different mode than it was when the Base was powered-off.
  • Fixed Tuning Menu not closing when doing the OLED / Display test through the Driver Control Panel.
  • Fixed missing Shifter Calibration prompt on wheels with 7-Segment-Display.
  • Fixed missing Tuning Menu mode change messages on the BME.
  • Fixed double input on the right toggle switch (up) of the BME.
  • Fixed wrong button mapping for the top middle island buttons of the CS UH V2.
  • Fixed BRF calibration LEDs don't light up when pushing the brake pedal while the BRF Tuning Menu setting is open.
  • Fixed update issues of the Formula V2.5.
  • Fixed Analogue Axis of APM paddles not working on PlayStation.
  • Fixed 7-way FunkySwitch clockwise rotation not working on PlayStation.
CSL DD / GT DD Pro Bases

  • Fixed Base Mode changes not shown in the Bentley GT3 Steering Wheel Display.
  • Fixed wrong display test for the Bentley GT3 Steering Wheel.
  • Fixed Tuning Menu settings reset when attaching the Bentley GT3 Steering Wheel or restarting the base.
  • Fixed BME having both PS Cross and Square features combined on one button, now they got separated again.
  • Fixed yellow MPS only having 0-3 inputs when the BMR is connected to a UH(X)V2.
Belt Bases (CSW, CSL Elite)

  • Fixed randomly opening Tuning Menu selection screen.
Podium Button Module Rally (BMR)

  • Fixed wrong default value of Joysticks now also for the BMR which caused the ingame cursour moving to one side.
  • Fixed wrong button ID for the right D-Pad Up input on the CS DD.
  • Fixed missing ACP headline texts in the Tuning Menu.
GT Steering Wheel Extreme

  • Fixed rapid changing of ITM pages could cause the Steering Wheel to freeze.
  • Fixed wrong / incomplete Firmware versions shown in the OLED after boot.
Hotfix Driver 473

  • Fixed cursor drift and camera looking to the left for GT SW Extreme
Hotfix Driver 474

  • Fixed Porsche Vision GT thumb encoders not working
  • Fixed GT SW Extreme clutch paddles not working correctly
Known Firmware Issues

  • On the Formula V2.5 with Firmware V1.0.2.0 and newer missed shifts and loss of button inputs for several seconds can happen on all bases. We are investigating this with the highest prio and plan to fix the issues with a driver update as soon as possible.
  • The Tuning Menu settings are sometimes not saved during a firmware update. This issue is planned to get fixed with a driver update as soon as possible.
  • The MPS input values of the BMR on CS DD randomly change the value when you press a button after you did not pressed a button for some minutes. This issue is planned to get fixed with a driver update as soon as possible.
  • The secondary upper shifter inputs of the APM when connected to one of the Hubs are not working on the CS DD. This issue is planned to get fixed with a driver update as soon as possible.
  • Natural friction (NFR) causes wheel shaking on the CS DD even on low values. This issue is planned to get fixed with a driver update as soon as possible.
  • The ITM on the GT SW Extreme sometimes freezes and shows wrong data. A full ITM rework for this wheel is planned with an upcoming driver release soon.
  • The steering input jump issue was greatly improved some time ago so the issue happens a lot less than before. A full fix is still in development to be released with an upcoming driver release.
  • When entering a game menu while driving it can happen in some games that the FFB effect doesn't get canceled which results in the wheel turning to one side. This got fixed for the Podium DD some time ago but can still happen on the CSL DD. We have reworked the communication protocols between the base and the motor and are in advanced testing to apply the fix for the CSL DD with an upcoming special driver release soon.
  • Natural friction (NFR) can start to feel weird after some time of driving and can cause shaking / oscillations. In case you experience issues with NFR, we suggest to turn it OFF for now. This got fixed for the Podium DD some time ago but can still happen on the CSL DD. We have reworked the communication protocols between the base and the motor and are in advanced testing to apply the fix for the CSL DD with an upcoming special driver release soon.

I'm still on something like 455 until this one is resolved. Don't mind waiting as the firmware I'm on right now is fine for the most part.

I’ve been on 455 for almost a year now because of shifting issues with the Formula V2.5, it’s the only thing holding me back from updating.

I can’t even use FanaLab because the older version doesn’t recognize any games that were released after 2023.

I'm still on 455, using Fanalab V2.01.72 and AC Evo is recognised.

Are just using the numbered presets or is the game showing up in Fanalab and your assigning the settings to it there?
The game shows in Fanalab and I've assigned the wheel settings to it (one of the 5 wheel presets) on the game profile tab. I've only recently bought a PC so still learning tbh.

My guess for new products:

  • Clubsport v4 pedals
They are severely lacking on pedals now. The v3s where great what, 10 years ago or whenever they launched. We need hydraulic brakes now to keep up with what PC gamers have available.
