Here to report that I went ahead and got Fanatec PBME + Simube S-Hub, Advanced Paddle Module and QR2. It's working fine on both PC and PS5 and I am satisfied with the choice. It's certainly night and day difference in overall quality and feel of inputs compared to standard DD Pro wheel. I find myself clicking the paddles while walking by it just for the feel of it.

To be a bit picky, here are some things that I noticed over about 2 weeks of using the wheel now:
  • Bolts that fasten the paddles would sometimes loosen themselves - had to tigthen these up after some time - they're good for now, guess it can be fixed with a threadlocker if that persists
  • S-Hub compared to Podium Hub (judging by the videos) has less space to hide the paddle cables and the bolts that fasten the plastic cover have space for bolt heads lower, making it more difficult to insert the bolts - just one time annoyance really so not big deal
  • ITM pages on PBME are quite limited - would be great to have more customization options here
  • Fanatec app is a bit annoying - for cars that do not include ready preset of RPM LEDs and LEDs vary between gears, why do I have to go to certain gear in game to set the LED RPM values. It also somehow lost my profile after setting it so I did not bother redoing it again.

Are you using the latest drivers/firmware?
It was a known issue in one of the more recent beta firmwares.
Yes, I was on latest released version already. I cleared the logs, as I suspected they might have been from old versions, but folder started growing rapidly again. Now I followed advice shared by Corsair staff on reddit and it seems that issue is gone.

Wonder if they decided to put some feedback into them. Podium pedal’s without full force support made me scratch my head.
In photos, the pedals appear to have two holes, which look a lot like the haptic reactor mounting points Simagic use for their P1000 pedals. So I wouldn’t be surprised if some Fullforce branded haptics show up.

My guess is they probably got some more feedback from our boy Igor...I know the CSL V1 and V2's that I used had various wear and tear issues with little force or use on them. My V2 are okay but think they wouldnt last long if I used them everyday

Hey folks! Couple of questions.

I Currently use a Logitech G923 on GT7 only and am thinking of getting a Fanatec GT DD Pro. Noticed the QR1s are on sale but is the QR2 worth the extra cash?

Edit: nevermind, looks like the QR1s have just gone out of stock.

Also I'm not really interested in strong FFB so guessing 5nm will be plenty but would like to reduce the wheel lock so I don't have the turn the wheel as much in game to achieve full steering lock on the cars. The Logitech seems to have a fixed lock on PS5. Can you manually reduce the lock on the GT DD Pro?

Thanks

The 5nm base could be a good start as you can upgrade the power brick later to unlock 8nm.

You can change the wheel rotation settings easily though the wheel/base, and save multiple profiles.

450 degrees is good for rally, 360 for single seaters and if you wanted to go the opposite end and have something with 1080 you can do that too very quickly.

Don’t bother with QR1, go straight into QR2 as that’s a better quick release and what’s officially coming with all wheels now.

Cheers PJ, that's what I needed to hear.

The QR1 is an objectively bad design, I don't know why people keep buying them. Your current Logitech wheel has around 2.2 nm, I would go straight to 8nm because 5 isn't much of a jump for the money imo.

Thanks mate. I already have the Logitech FFB strength turned down to 35% so the 5nm will be more than enough. It's the reduced steering lock ability I'm mainly interested in.

As others have mentioned, just go straight to the 8nm base. FFB is something you grow into, IMO.
