The Clubsport Formula V3 has leaked. It looks like a wider diameter wheel this time around, alongside a bigger screen and new encoders.

I upgraded my TX wheel of 10 years, yes 10 years, to Fanatec CSL 8nn, and oh boy is it a fantastic piece of kit..... i'm in love and it came just at the time i was getting jaded with sim racing.
Only game i prefer my TX on weirdly is AC, I was drifting like a champ on the TX and the CSL i'm having to learn to drift all over again....
 
Worked it out, I have had to do a set up for AC drifting where i reduce the natural damper thing to about 6 from 50. Also my CSL doesn't seem to have a 'drift' setting like i see on YT. Is it because they removed it?

Yeah damper 50 is too high for any thing.

drift DRI setting did not make it to the DD’s - only the old belt drives had it
 
Disappointed they aren't hydraulic pedals. Maybe next time. I can't see my laptimes improving with that set over what I have now.

My guess for the price is something like 559.99€ or 599.95€ (to justify the podium brand), the two pedals/formula set will be probably 20-40€ cheaper.
From a first loot at the video they kinda look like what other manufacturers offer in their mid to upper range (eg heusinkveld sprint) pedals (and prices between 600-900€)

Dunno. Without full force support im not sure that paying more than $400~ makes sense for these;

Been waiting years for fanatec to release a podium pedal..and now, im not sure why.
 
I’ll be a day 1 preorder guy for sure. Biggest thing for me is being able to quickly change how the brake feels for road cars and race cars
 
Hey Everyone,

Wanted to ask if anyone has a long term review of the Fanatec Clubsport GT Cockpit?

I currently have a playseat trophy with Logitech RS50 that I attach to a TV, but for a more immersive/comfortable setting I am looking to upgrade to clubsport GT or Simlab GT Evo with a curved monitor attached to the rig.

I love the look of the clubsport but am seeing a lot of reviews saying "just get an 80/20 rig" but not sure if that's just jumping on the bandwagon so wanted to see if anyone has experience of the rig long term?

I only play GT7 so don't need endless adjustability with extra's, my only concern is I am 6 foot 5 (195cm) and 16 stone (100kg) with broad shoudlers so not sure if I would fit in the bucket seat and I don't have the option to try it anywhere in the country I live in.

Thanks for any advice.
 
I got the GT DD Pro a couple of weeks ago.

Anyone had an issue with the (standard csl) brake pedal not registering input for the first 25% of travel?

Unplugging and reconnecting it from/to the gas pedal seems to have fixed it for now. Wondering if it's a common issue? Hopefully just a one off glitch. 🤞🏼
 
darn im kinda not sold on the gold trimming...wish it was all black

Finally ended up at the Corsair store last week and they had 3-4 rigs set up for people to play. They had most of the wheel and pedals on display which was cool...V3 pedals are smaller than I thought and CSL pedals don't look great at all in person (gotta hand it to their marketing)

other half of the store was $5k Corsair gaming PC's...they had an ITX that was ~$4k lol

SimNet Pro SP pedals updated w the Hydro Link hydraulic brake kit

This kit replaces the elastomer stack and the brake feel is greatly improved for me - definitely feels much more like a real brake system w a smoother build of pressure over the elastomers

It has a range of tuning options with springs and elastomers to set the force - went with a combo stack of the lightest and next lightest springs after trying a single harder spring. I’m feeling about the same amount of travel vs the stack I was using before w 2 springs and one elastomer

Easy to apply a very light brake force as well as build and control trail braking pressure

Installation was easy enough. I did remove the stock brake damper

Minor nits: The stack tube is between the brake and gas pedals so if the pedals are close its tight for removing the stack - they should have put it on the clutch side. Also the tube angles up so removing the bits requires something to grab them if you use a split stack. So a bit more fiddly than the stock setup but once its dialed in no big unless you want to change setups regularly

Is it worth it? If you prefer a really stiff setup w little travel then probably not, as the hydaulic feel won’t be very noticeable, but if you like a bit of travel and want a bit more control and more real life feel for immersion, then worth considering
 
Not sure where else they could go given that almost their entire lineup has been updated already, and they have products in all categories.

Because if you look back there was some discussion regarding these pedals from me and others in this thread so I added this update for any of those interested - it is not much of a review of the entire system just an add on

They are Fanatec compatible on console which is relevant as you’re otherwise limited to a small range. These are a viable alternative to the Podium Pedals.
 
These pedals are a bargain. They have some very good reviews. The are "compatible" with Fanatec wheelbases (at least by the time i write this🙃). But it is a shame that these pedals do not have their own thread in the product section. . . .

As for this thread, it is not bad to mention things and products that are compatible with Fanatec products or whatever similar. But as a thread it is about Fanatec (as a company) and what is relevant with what their doing and the paths they follow, the products in general, what changes they do, deals announcements maybe etc. At least that is what i understand by reading the thread from the begining. I might be wrong.

The point is it is better for everyone products like Simnet pedals deserve and must have their own proper threads for people to know them and read some feedback about them in Gtplanet.

Of course i kindly suggest it and mention it. I do not want to be rude or misunderstood.
