Hello all,

Having already orderd my GT2 V2 wheel, Clubsport Pedals, and RennSport Wheel Stand V2, I found this forum and saw that some people that were ordering up until about two months ago were having many problems with ordering, shipping, faulty products and such and was wondering if this was still going on with this company and these products?

I have already paid and placed my order yesterday and after a full business day today I have received no confirmation email from Fanatec and am now worried that even though there side said that everything I ordered was available in there ship that this might not be true and there will be a long wait involved.

The last post in the last thread i read was back in early March so if anyone has ordered recently and can give me some more current info I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance :)

I can only speak about my experience with Fanatec. I ordered a GT2 & Clubsport pedal set from Fanatecs website last December. On their website it said the products were available and I should see them in 1 to 2 weeks. That was last December, I am STILL waiting for my products. I have been lied to so many times by Fanatec I do NOT believe a single word they say now.

I will NEVER place another order from Fanatec again!!!

again @left888. If you want to DIRECTLY find out what is up with your order, PM me. I can get you directly to the warehouse. I offered this yesterday to no avail from you. The woman there can tell you EXACTLY what is going on. I am also highly doubting you are telling the truth.

If you do NOT PM me, I will say you are full of it. I have had no issues dealing directly with the warehouse. You now seem to be the ONLY one with an issue of not receiving info for your order. What was your order #, name, and email. You give that to the warehouse, they will let you know instantaneously. It is not that hard.

Also, being that you are in Canada, ever check with your customs? They have been known to hold things up with Fanatec. Hey, I'm no saint, I was very upset at Fanatec at first, but Thomas and the warehouse stepped up and fulfilled their obligations. So, you are either 1. full of it, 2. getting the run-around. If it is #2, get at me, I CAN help you out.

Recent experience to compare, I ordered a GT2 last Thursday, no confirmation (other than Paypal) until Monday when I received an email with invoice and saying it is shipping NOW and may take one week to arrive, but no tracking info received since Monday so I am guessing it hasn't really shipped yet.

From recent info on the threads here it seems like Fanatec and Endor USA is getting better than back in Dec/Jan GT2/GT5 launch and when it seemed they pulled the GT2 US wheel supply, but if you order from them you should be prepared to be patient for more communication confusion and delivery delays compared to other companies, hopefully left888's experience is a rare extreme.

Based on my timeline from last week you should get your invoice in the next couple of days. I am still waiting for my shipping tracking number so I don't know how long that takes after the "it is shipping now" invoice, hoping to get that this week and that the wheel arrives soon afterwards (CA to WA shipping should just be 3 days).

If you've followed these threads hopefully you ordered expecting some of this, I went into it with open eyes prepared to be a little patient, the end product seems worth it and there is currently (and per E3) no competition from other multiplatform wheels.

@Kludger, you get your tracking info in an email directly from UPS. If you are worried, PM me, ill get you info on how to get in touch with the US warehouse. They were spot on with me when I called. I want to help all out that have any worries. I'll be the pseudo Customer Service for US customers of Fanatec, LOL.

Edit: that email should come within 24-48 hours of the "your order will ship now" one.

I'll give you my info. I ordered in March 28th. Got tired of it, thinking of getting a T500 so I cancelled my order.

I then ordered the package again (when they were out of stock at the time) on June 1st. Got my email saying it's shipping 2 days ago, I should get the tracking number today. So as you can see my order was in June and it's already shipping.

You won't wait long. Also, I've had zero problems with them. Even when I asked for a refund the first time, they sent the money back no joke in about 20 minutes.

@Left, I don't know what's going on with your situation..but the fact that a rep from Fanatec joined this board trying to help you and get more information from you shows the extent the company goes to. We know their a small company but you have to admit, that's is pretty awesome support. AGP5000 seems like a huge help as well.

oh, I'm no rep Franjo. Just a consumer advocate lol. I care for the common consumer. I had to go to great lengths to get this contacts I have for Fanatec. I will not just freely hand the info out though. It would not be fair to the people who help out.

I personally work in sales for a skylight manufacturer. Customer Service is the ONLY way we can keep and garner business. If we had Fanatec's standards in place, it is MORE than safe to say we would NOT be in business. So, I am trying hard to help them out and keep their name good since Thomas stepped up for me.

EDIT: One note I would like to point out though. The standard pedals are constantly breaking or malfunctioning from Fanatec. They said they came up with a resolution and sent a set to someone on fanatecwheel.com's forum and still have the SAME issue after Fanatec supposedly corrected it. So they sent him the CSP's free of charge since he has personally gone through 5-6 sets of standards already. So, instead of facing the issue, they just sent him CSP's. This leads me to believe they should just STOP selling the standards if all they do is break. Can someone on here say they have had the standard pedals that have NOT broke? If so, please let me know.

If Fanatec wants to step into the higher echelon on sim racing, bag the standard pedals. They are only causing issues. Selling a known faulty product is called FRAUD. Which it MORE than seems this is the issue with the standard pedals. Some cannot afford the CSP's, so Fanatec will continue to send them sets of pedals over and over and over. This will COST them money until they, if and when, come up with a real fix to them.

AGP,

In another thread, Armin from Fanatec actually joined the board to help him. That's who I'm speaking of.

Cool. He is a good dude. I kinda ticked him off though lol. To say the least, I was a pompus a$$ when I dealt with him. I'm not too sure he likes me right now LOL. I do tend to go crazy in the heat of the moment.

Still though, the standard pedals have me at a great concern over product liability. It makes no economical sense to continue to send people pedals that WILL continue to fail in time. Especially when the CSP's are THAT good. Mine are phenomenal, and I have not touched them yet. I am too lazy to get the tuning kit out and customize them lol. The more I use them, the less I feel the need to tune it as of now.

AGP, that's why I went with the CSP's as well. I figure I spent that much on the wheel, I might as well get the CSP as well.

It does look like they should just drop the standard pedals totally.

Just to follow-up on my earlier thread, my UPS shipping info email just showed up with my tracking number.

So it looks like my GT2 timeline was:
1. Thursday order late in the day (I was waiting for E3 wheel announcements to see when CSR would be available, not in time for FM4 launch unfortunately)
2. Monday I received the "it's shipping now" invoice
3. Thursday I received the UPS tracking number from UPS
4. I should receive my wheel next week sometime

So not bad at all other than the bit of confusion from the invoice email, hope that timeline helps the OP, also @AGP5000 thanks for the help offer, for now not needed, I hope left888's issues get resolved.

again @left888. If you want to DIRECTLY find out what is up with your order, PM me..

Sorry, I placed my order with Fanatec and deal only with Fanatec, not the janitor of some warehouse.

You are very ignorant. This woman is the one who tells you what is going on. She is the warehouse distributor. Not some janitor. You know what, it would be better off if you didn't order from Fanatec if this is the way you think you should be.

I myself went aggressive at it, but with a whole different approach. Hell, I ordered in January, got in February. Where were you? Oh thats right, complaining, and not being proactive enough to see where your order stood. Not my problem. If you do NOT believe me, read the threads and tell me where I am full of it. I am all ears.............

If you want real help, I can help you, but if you take this attitude, I hope you NEVER get your order.

First off your advice was not solicited by me, secondly if I wanted your advice or help I would have asked for it. Since I never asked for either I would expect you respect my own decision how I deal with my own affairs. I hope you are mature enough to understand.

Then left, continue to wallow in your own sorrows. All that took me up on my offer have either found out what is going on, or received emails after I looked into it for them and are receiving their products.

If you are willing to cut your nose off to spite your own face, then so be it. But, I am the one using my GT2 with no gripes, and you are the one still twiddling your 3rd leg(pinky) and being a child, not me.

I am here to simply assist, you are a moron to refuse. Secondly, the ONLY reason why you would not want my help is 1 of 2 things. 1, you are completely FULL OF IT, 2. you are trying to screw Fanatec over. So, which is it? Because you are a FOOL to not take me up on my offer to help.

I work in sales bro, customer service is the ONLY way you stay in business, unless your product is a hot commodity.

EDIT: Sorry to get SO of topic, but this guy needs to be put in his place. He is LYING, plain and simple. Or again, for the upteenth time, I can HELP YOU. If you do NOT want it, you are foolish beyond your wildest dreams. And I do hope you never get your product and/or refund. They WILL refund you if you simply ask...... SO, instead of asking, your are bi*ching about it, which gets what done, NOTHING!

He don't want any help, he already canceled his order, he is just crying here. Or he is the CEO of Thrustmaster.

I think it's pretty obvious there's more to his story, you don't need to point it out. You'll only agitate an already distressed person.

@OP: I ordered Feb 2nd and got it yesterday, the last few weeks of it's journey were pretty difficult with multiple delays and mistakes by Fanatec. The wheel and pedals are in good shape, however. I ran into a bug using it with the Xbox that was a little unsettling that went away after I rebooted the wheel; only having had a few hours with it so far I can't really tell you much more.

The CSP pedals seem great and worth the investment, but I'll reserve judgment on the wheel until it's been around for a few weeks without issues.

@bone, if you try and adjust the settings on the wheel in game with Forza, even for me, it disconnects. IDK why, but it does. Other than that, I have no issues, and it is one damn fine wheel & pedals!

And yes, I am getting agitated for no reason. I am stopping the good fight. No reason for me to be angry over someone elses own ignorance and stupidity.

However well intentioned you are, harrassing him and calling him names is not going to help. He has made it clear he doesn't want your help, so just ignore his posts.

What you are doing goes against the Acceptable Use Policy, especially this bit
You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack any individual or any group.
