Hello,

Sorry if this (I've no doubt it has) been covered. I did do a search but it brought up just about every thread on the forum.

I've just ordered a Gt2 wheel with the clubsport pedals, but since read a lot about reliability problems etc. I've got the Logitech G27 and somebody has offered to buy it.

Is the GT2 reliable and better on GT5? I see the new update now has support for the G27 but haven't had chance to play yet.

I've gone for the GT2 So I can play FM4 as I didn't fancy the XCM to make the G27 work on FM4.

Yes the Fanatec GT2 is great on GT5 and forza 3 and 4 demo,
but don't sell the G27 keep it as a back up if you can.

Fanatec does have minor little problems that can be annoying for the cost,
cooling fan making more and more noise,
brake pedal gets a very annoying squeek ( white lithium grease did the trick tho)

but i still can't go back to a dfgt lol
fanatec feels more realistic and confy.

Is the force feedback as powerful as the Logitech?

Also, i've just noticed the clubsport wheel.

Why isn't it supported by Xbox? That looks like the wheel to have!

Even better, Fanatec GT2 uses belt fed system which not only means stronger but smoother and much better force feedback than G27, uncompareable really.
FFB on Fanatec wheels is great and smooth, it doesn't rip the wheel outta your hands as you increase the FFB - it just becomes stronger.
ALSO - Fanatec wheels don't suffer from wobble on the straights (big FFB issue on GT5 which happens on all wheels apart from Fanatecs).
As for the ClubSport Wheel - Micro$oft didn't give the licence for use on 360, 360 users have CSR Elite instead (basically the same wheel just without the quickrelease and a different wheel-rim).

You should have got the new Forza 4 wheel. While Gt2 has stronger ffb than g27 it is also a heavier wheel which muffles out some of the ffb feel. Gt2 imo is not better than g27 but different. Now the Forza version (CSR wheel) is lighter plus with stronger ffb with better paddles like the g27. In another words it has the advantage of both Gt2 and G27. I wished now I waited and got the Forza wheel instead of the GT2. (I much rather have a useful analog stick instead of the useless air bag space)

I think your thinking of the CSR elite, there's 2.
 
Maybe I need more practice with GT2, but since I've changed from G25, I'm seconds slower in GT5.. GT2 feels heavyer to steer, and I think the cars' reaction time is a bit longer in sudden situations because of this. Also the feeling of the wheel is really good, The CSP pedals are not in one category with G25 pedals (much much better). Also true, using the CSP mounted inverted is almost unusable..

Actually, (Mazda) Zoom!Zoom! was correct. The CSR (standard) wheel is lighter and its paddle shifters are better than the GT2 based on the reviews from people who got it and from ISR.

The CSR Elite wheel, however, is completely made of metal with 2 rotary motors so there's no way it's lighter than the GT2. The Elite is in a different league.
