Fanatec GT3 RS V2 Sensitivity Issue

Hey guys, I've owned this wheel for quite sometime, and I've noticed that the Wheel Sensitivity I set on the wheel does not translate to the game (GT5) at all. When I put the sensitivity to 900 for example, the in-game wheel maxes out way before I can complete turning the actual wheel. This has been bothering me for quite some time. Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

I don't own a wheel but I assume that Fantec wheels aren't fully supported (same story goes for G27) so you can't make those adjustments.
That's my theory.

thats not the sensitivity you are talking about.
Rather the maximum degree you can turn the wheel (900° or 180° for example).
Set the amount you want on the wheel and turn off the PS3/GT5 settings for the wheel (forcefeedback etc.).
In addition to that you might want to change the wheel "mode" in GT5 from normal to "pro" or even "simulation".

im not aware of any option the wheel does not support. Its only setup!
have fun!

PS: Its even described in the manual...

The wheel in cockpit mode does not represent the actual degree you are turning your fanatec wheel. I use the GT3 RS V2 and Turbo S with 900°. No problem at all, just the animation of the ingame wheel.

Pretty stupid, when they advertise official GT-wheels with 900°.

Hi. I've just looked at the manual again. Where can I find the required information. The closest I can find is the page where it describes sensitivity settings for the wheel. I quote from the manual "The value shows the wheel rotation which is needed for a full rotation in the game. The available values depend on the used platform". And that is the problem I am facing, even when I switched the Sens to 900, I am achieving a full rotation in game even before I turn the wheel fully.
What do you mean by "turn off ps3/GT5 settings for the wheel" and how do you do it? I didn't get this point, sorry. I am already on simulation

Hmmm.... I'll check that out later tonight. True that I was judging from the cockpit view. However, it did seem the car couldn't turn anymore though

Hi,
The manual has a statement somewhere "that any kind of settings on the wheel setup might get overriden by the underlying software (GT5 here)".

Because of that, you need to visit the GT5 menu and turn all the FF (example if you turn the FF in GT5 to 1 and the FF on the wheel to 100 the wheel will use the "1" from GT5 as value) settings of etc. (just choose simulation as you already did).

In addition to that, maybe swap the decided steering wheel in the GT5 menu (i use T500 and im fine, others said DFGT also works fine).

There is a forum on 911wheel.com in addition. You can find all answers there (i searched and found all solutions for any kind of issues there too).

Believe me, that i had issues at the start and thought that the wheel was broken, in the end it turned out, that ALL of them were setup issues.
(like the screeching of the wheel with simulation and max FF and Max steering degree. its the FF motor working at max. it vanishes when you turn steering degree to e.g. 180 and or lower FF value)

Best

hehe ok, there is a fair bit of difference between what the wheel on the screen displays and the force needed to bypass more than 180° on the real wheel with max spring/center force.

Isn't FF force feedback? I'm pretty sure turning the FF in PS3/GT5 to 1 will just reduce the force feedback from the wheel even if I have FF set to 100 on the GT3 RS. Lol, sorry man, I didn't get that statement. Did you mean turn off FF in the in-game settings menu (if there is such an option)?

Cool, I think I worked it out. My Linearity setting was at 0, that why the wheel was turning a lot faster than what I expected. Haha, thanks for your help though. The in game steering wheel does stop a little earlier than expected.
