It's probably because there is a distributor in Australia.

Im aware that there is an Australian distributor and they charge way to much for fanatec items.

Plus they dont stock the new CS hardware......

That is not their fault. As far as I know, Australia has some very bad taxes on stuff like electronics and video games. In my time, I've heard a lot of Australians complain about this.

As for your specific plea... Fanatec already has a distributor in Australia.

Like I said I'm aware.........all I want is a CSW base and GT rim.

We were added to the list of countries able to purchase from the new website, but as you all know it crashed and burned pretty quick, not before all the europeans and americans purchased all of the stock of course!!

Just wanting to know if us (Aussies) will be added to existing website or when new site will be up and running......that is all.

Fanatec should just open store on ebay and let global delivery companies calculate shipping fees for anywhere in the world. I bet would sell more that way. Also I do not understand why you have to select country before you can look in web shop.

Believe me, I understand. At least you can buy Fanatec products however overpriced or limited. I've e-mailed the store and they won't sell products to any country not supported by their website or distributors.

And yes, that includes Mexico, Brazil and the rest of latin america.

Pagnian Imports are the local distributor and they don't get any special treatment.

Our taxes are not that bad. It is only applied to orders above AUD$1000. Then it's approx 15% on top (GST and Duty included). Orders under $1000 do not get charged GST (10%) when ordered online.

They just put a pre-order option on their website and then hope to God Fanatec ship them out a crate load. Then we wait, and wait and wait for Fanatec to ship, delay after delay. I own a GT2 & Clubsport pedals (waited almost 6 months) - they're in a box now as I run a T500RS.

While I really like the Fanatec gear, if I have a problem with my Thrustmaster I take it back to my local store and guess what - I get local support and a local warranty.

Warranty on Fanatec comes down to how much Pagnian has on hand otherwise you're waiting for head office to receive, check and ship repaired/replacement model.

We live in a global economy these days, it ain't that hard..!

I hope pagnian get them in, I will definately buy a csw base and both rims even if I have to pay through the nose......Seems like our only option at the minute....

And I agree it isnt that hard in todays economy...

Direct retail in Australia was briefly listed on the new Fanatec website before the website crashed. THis was more than a month ago & i havent heard anyone who actually was able to place an order from Oz.

My mate recently had an email back from Fanatec about 2 weeks ago which said that in about a fortnight, Fanatec will have a web retail store again here in Australia in which wi stock the CSW & clubsport pedals v2. Which is now. But there is nothing on the website though. As usual any announcement by Fanatec regarding timing should never be trusted..

Heys guys, new to the site but have been sifting through threads for quite awhile,

Was wondering if anyone has heard anything new regards Fanatec and Australia? the site has been up and running for awhile but one still cannot order any products for Australia everything is listed as "Not Released Yet".

Welcome EVader...

Story of our lives mate. Most of us have moved on to Thrustmaster T500. Who know's when it will be available.

I'm thinking Derek Speare will have his Hydraulic Pedals released before Fanatec get their AUS website shipping orders.

First shipment was sent out in second half of november and if I'm not mistaken, they got in customs some time at the start of this year. Maybe they are still stuck there.

Still, that's a lot of money!

Post would have been the killer.

I wold love a CSW and BMW Rim, but not for that sort of money.

ya bout $900 odd for 'base, GT wheel & V2s' round $260 postage :) going by their site itll be $1249 for same configuration as me from AU not including local post (if its charged?)

Well, supposedly I've got a CSR wheel and CSR elite pedals waiting for me at the post office. It'll be interesting to see, my poor old DFGT has really done it's dash. :)
