Wondering if anybody has encountered this ...

I just got my new fanatec gt3 rs clubsport 2 days ago, played with it for a couple of hours on the first day, aside from whining noise when i'm not using the wheel it was working great. I was playing NFS shift and Dirt2, the wheel was almost perfect, it was a tad "slow" for dirt2, but i got used to it.

Today i played with it for about an hour when the FFB started to intermittently go away, i decided to give it some rest. When i came back after an hour and restarted my ps3, the wheel just displayed 8.8.8. and was not working at all. :indiff:

I tried to restart my PS3, unplugged the wheel, but nothing changed, so i guess it's now DOA. I'm waiting for fanatec support to answer my email. I may just to return it and wait for g27.

That wheel is a really good one. If, in the end, it's a problem that the FANATEC is "broken" and not about the PS3 firmware, for example, I'd suggest you just following the manufacturer instructions when they answer you (maybe, replace it with no cost), before thinking to buy another one.

my guess, your PSU for the wheels dead.. I had a similar problem but I'd kicked out the adapter mains cable ... hope thats all it is..

Good Luck

OK, well I don't have a FF problem, BUT I DO have the RS ClubSprt set and it has ONLY worked once since ive had it. It worked 1 time before the PS3 updated on Mightbight Club LA....then it stopped working? I also have N4S Shift ad carbon, niether work..can ANYONE giv eme some advice? I understand that I hav eto put it in PS3 mode, but it will not go? Also the butttoe DO work, but not the steering or pedles and when the gas ispressed the steering vibates...please help.

That's what I did. I had a Turbo and it developed tons of problems after only a couple of months. I sent it back and got a G27. I actually like the G27 more.

The Fanatec wheel seems to be real shotty. The people on the Forza Motorsport forum seem to be lying to themselves about it, too. I was all about this wheel for Forza 3, but then it came out...kinda. It's expensive, out of reach, and even when it finally arrives, it's probably DOA. Expedited shipping for $150? Are you kidding me? Ugh, I rather just buy a G27, a PS3 Slim, and GT5 Prologue. Wow, did I just say that? FFFFUUUUU >:0

DOA= Dead On Arrival? :confused:

No more confused. I googled!

There have been a few wheels with problems, but they are by no stretch a majority, and every product ever made is going to have a percentage of defects.

On msg boards and such you are going to hear most from people that have had problems, because they have complaints to register. Those without problems have no reason to proclaim such, at least not to the extent that those with problems do. You will find those with problems post loudly over and over and over again.

My Turbo S wheel works perfect. There is no lying to myself. It is an amazing feeling wheel, and the force feedback is the strongest and smoothest I have ever experienced. The clubsport pedals are rock solid, and have a perfect feel, of course even if they didn't, they are so adjustable that they would anyway.

Yup, my 1st G25 had issues and Logitech replaced it, used that one for almost 2 years...still have it now, just mothballed it for my PWTS Clubsport.

Had the Fanatec a few weeks and it's working fine and am really enjoying it. Hopefully their support in the long run is good like Logitech's.
