I voted that too. I disliked rally events in GT3, I dislike them even more in GT4. I don't know if it's more realistic but I have no fun at all when the car keeps on sliding sideways at 40 mph while I'm struggling to get some grip back on the wheels and point the front end to the approximate direction where I want it to go.OnlyMeVoted: no, never and no way. I'm sorry but I think the rally in the GT-series is no good at all, so thanks, but no thanks![]()
jump_aceObviously I'm all in for it. I don't know what everyone is saying about the rally being bad, I love it. I feel little difference in it from GT3, but then again I tend to adapt quickly. I say we need a change of pace, bring on the Alps!

flat-outYou spend too much time trying to control the car, and too few trying to improve your time. Plus you can easily touch a wall which makes the whole thing no fun at all.
Yeah, but instead of matching the PWRs(because there still always seems to be a faster car when we do that), try drag racing them somewhere(too bad the drag strip isn't available in arcade mode) and matching them up that way. But that's too hard I guess considering there's no where to do that. Oh well, I unno. We just can't forget about the higher speeds. A bigger, more powerful car with the same power/weight ratio as a smaller, lighter car will be faster at higher speeds, or so I'd think. They'd just possibly have the capability of accelerating at the same pace at lower speeds where aerodynamics don't come into play.KentArcade mode with minimum weight on all the rallys, then power designations to match the PWRs.
Yeah, that would be fun.![]()

Awesome! Great thinking man, glad to hear it. Now we can have a nice well matched multiple car race, w000! I'm still up for something where the Volvo 240 maxxed out could be slightly competitive on some track, along with an open ended type of car race or something...flat-outActually I'm having B-spec Bob doing part of this job for me.
He races 10 laps on the selected track, with each car I have selected, and I adjust the power to have similar total times on the practice.
I can tell you something about it : that's ****ing long to do and when I have all cars running similar times, the power to weight ratios don't match at all.

flat-outBack on topic : the poll now shows that almost 50% wish to run on dirt while 50% won't do that. Chances are that there will be some dirt events in the WRS...
Drew22The fully tuned Escudo on ice...yeah!
TheWizardAre you on crack or something?![]()
