Here are the cars I would love to see in GT7. Unfortunately, I don't think any of these will happen, especially with Polyphony fully embracing the Gr. X (and Vision...) designs.

The CRX is perfect in my opinion. I always thought the car looks like a midship so them placing the engine at the back for this racing version is an absolute no brainer.

The Altezza also works as a touring car, looks quite legit.

Using only RM/TC cars from PS3 era games:

I think the Gr.3 program should've emulated the LM edition cars from GT 1-4.

Those cars alone were always "Gran Turismo" to me. :sly:

Infact, love it or hate it, the Peugeot RCZ group 3 road car feels very "LM edition" to me.

I want to see a slew of Gr5 cars, based on just about everything sporty from the mid-80s on up. I'm still going to get back to my pet project someday, but I'd like Kaz and the team whip up some goodies for us themselves.

My big idea would be for some made-for-game Gr.2 cars if they can't get the DTM license. Imagine, for example, if instead of the BMW M4 DTM, they instead made a Gr.2 car modeled on the new 8-series, or the new Z4.

B80
Car from original mad max :D
On that note, I'd like to see the Coyote from Hardcastle and McCormick. And, of course, KITT from Knight Rider.

I would appreciate these much more than the VGT cars we get.

Dodge Copperhead LM edition but with the beta body from GT2 as it looked much more like a proper GT2 racer.

Mazda RX-7 LM from GT3 onwards:

R32 Touring which I think is based on a JGTC R32:

R33 Touring car to take the place of a R33 LM Racing version:

PD Brought back the Miata touring and the Civic one so they can absolutely add the GTRs no problem if they want to, honestly all of the touring cars and RMs from GT5/GT6 should've returned.

I also agree on the Cerbera LM from the first post as I am a sucker for 90s GT racing cars.

@TumeK5

The Cerbera was based on a real car run by TVR in the British GT championship.

In that case, they need to add the Cerbera to start off with! Car's also more convenient than the Speed 6, which is like a low-power version of the Speed 12.

I feel like with widebody and livery editor we can come pretty close to the older games' LM cars. We are just missing lots of road cars that they are based on. But yes I would love to see legends like Cerbera LM, FTO LM, GTO LM and Silvia LM properly return in all their glory.

Some sort of formula gt but emulating the old 60s f1 cars. Could have multiple stock liveries and form a full grid with them!
There is already the Honda RA272. Most 60s F1 cars look quite similar so you can buy multiple copies and apply liveries for each team.

I agree we need a generic F1 car representing each decade though:
  • 1950
  • 1960 (we have RA272)
  • 1970
  • 1980 (we have F1500T-A)
  • 1990 V12 (Formula GT should return)
  • 2000 V10
  • 2010 V8 (Ferrari F10 from GT5)
  • 2020 V6 (Merc W08 from GT Sport)
  • Current gen car

Never imagined someone would come back to this thread...
That's odd - I just noticed the date  I definitely clicked on this thread on the first page - maybe there was a bot post that got deleted, and the thread stayed on the first page as a glitch.

Personally I'd like to see the touring car idea from GT5 applied to the new generation of cars they've added in the PS4 era.

Using cars like the Porsche 911s, the E30 M3, the various lamborghinis, cars like those that are still relatively new to the series rather than the same remixing the FD, NSX and Skyline GT-R into new touring cars again.

Both older and newer cars I don't think they should have a limit for that. Why not take like a 964 and make a cool touring car out of it? Or a kitted out Gr.2 style Maserati MC20?

I give you the Reliant Robin...
Ruch’s DTM Mustang
What's "fantasy" about these very real actual cars?

This is a thread for fantasy cars, not cars you're fantasising about.

I was gonna say, did people not see the word "fantasy"?

Or perhaps we can fantasize about a Reliant Robin LM Edition.

This is the first line of the OP...

He Is stating that he wants to see these cars in GT7, those cars are real not fantasy cars but not in this GT7, or is this a total misunderstanding.

those cars are real not fantasy cars
They're literally fantasy cars from previous GT game - Cerbera LM Edition (inspired by a real car, but doesn't exist), CR-X del Sol LM Edition (very doesn't exist), S2000 LM (doesn't exist), IS200 LM (doesn't exist), Nike One (doesn't exist).

And the very same person reiterated the very same point in the post immediately above yours, right after I did.

To restate what I said... ihis is a thread for fantasy cars, not cars you're fantasising about.
