What, you mean you don't think that a 49-year-old British Touring Car driver isn't ready to make that one final jump to F1? :)

Team deleted.

aha, thanks Giles. Will resign up now. :D

righty, Williams-Renault Racing is back, with a much better driver line up. :D

Giles: There is still a bug in the substitutions page. As others have mentioned the substitution budget is -$60m. ;)

  • You may substitute each driver once per season.
  • You may substitute your chassis, and engine once per season, as with drivers.
  • Substitutions must be made prior to the commencement of Friday testing of a race weekend in order to count for that weekend. Substitutions made after this time will take effect at the next race. For the Monaco race, where first practice is on the Thursday, the substitutions must be made prior to the commencement of Thursday testing. In all eventualities, the substitution will become effective from the race as shown in the substitution form.

:)

Top scorer of the weekend! :sly:

Also only seven points away from the leader. Thank you C. Albers for finally finishing a race!

Meanwhile....

Come on STR! Get me points!

Quickie- How had RSC been losing points each race?

I made my substitutions. I feel bad that I had to abandon BMW, though. Things are just too expensive.

How does substitutions work?? Looks like this guy has just jumped ship once he found out whos on form.

When you substitute, you exchange one (or more) elements of your team for something else. You then score points according to the new team roster.

Jumping ship once you find out who's on form is a valid strategy. But it is very difficult to do effectively. The leader's substitutions look to be very clever at the minute, but 3 races into the 17 race season it could yet be a little bit premature.

So his "currunt" team is now concrete for the rest of the season?

Yes, effectively. He can still change his Driver B and Driver C, but they're both non-running drivers, and his other items are all already substituted, so he won't be able to liberate budget to turn them into running drivers.

2nd...

do i get anything for a podium?

1 1 (0) BOOEY Baby Racing Show Team 771 (63)
2 2 (0) Small_Fryz Area 51 Show Team 743 (58)

and that was the team i picked from the start.. no subs

My "junior team" finished 4th. Bailey's team was 10th. Of course, I didn't realize they were nearly identical, since we'd created the teams at the last minute from different places...

A 24th for me, and a 20th for Kathy. A mid-season switch from Toyota to Mercedes didn't help me much, although picking Vettel and Sato from the get-go were smart moves.
