A few videos of the game and map editor. For those not familiar with this game, it is a sandbox FPS with some RPG elements. Looks to be quite the treat, releases November 30th UK and December 4th US.

For a game to have a map editor in this day and age of DLC, and from what I understand, can be played by the public is unheard of. Expect thousands upon thousands of user created maps.
 
The reviews have been good so I will pick it up at some point, I just hope they don't have the stupid respawning checkpoint npcs who attack you every time you go past.
 
Never played Far Cry so it's going to be my first, I think. After completing Assassin's Creed 3 I'm hungry for a sort off RPG game.

Map editor is interesting, should be a lot of fun to actually play on your own map against others.
 
Aside from the other players you can play against, the fact that you can add AI humans and AI animals is awesome (not allowed to the public). So even if you have no friends like me, you can still have FUN!

I have purchased EVERY single FC game including the PC version. As Hellbilly mentioned above, we spent a lot of time in the FC games creating maps. There is no better map making system in any other game series. Its just such a shame the community is so small for this series. People spend days making great maps and hardly anyone to play them. The other problem is that I am so overwhelmed by other games currently out that I am going to just rent this one for now. It does look really dang good. Too bad it only has 6 co-op missions. If the rental is really fun then it could become a purchase.
 
I'm on the subway now checking some picsand thinking about that map editor, I'm going to give it a try. I know for sure now, so Jimbo, I'll see you online ! :D It's been a long time my Xbox had any friend activity..

That wobblehead is aswesome! I might put that on my bike to :lol:

Yeah back during Instincts, I spent countless hours designing maps and probably had maybe 20 or so people on them so I am hoping we can get some Forza and Friends games going, spread the word when a members map is good and go from there. I can't remember but were you able to set up user maps and play them in a cycle? If not that would be a nice addition to MP.

@Carlos, I will surely be on all day Tuesday, bare with me though as I will be knee deep in editing maps HA!
 
I've only played FC2 on the X360 and lost interest fast.

FC3 though looks very impressive, saw a couple of dev videos. Let's see what the reviewers say.

Yes Hellbilly and I had servers running our maps all the time. In fact the developers even grabbed a couple of our custom maps and put them into their own rotation. I had a server running in Instints almost every single day with at least 10 maps in the rotation. I never did that for FC2 because I didn't like FC2 much at all. I still plan to rent this for sure to at least check it out. The animals vs humans looks so fun.

Will most likely pick thsi up tomorrow for a blast.

Despite the telepathic AI and the stupid respawning checkpoints in FC2 I actually loved the freedom it offered and this seems to have up'd the freedom part and got rid of the annoying bits (I didn't actually mind the failing guns and malaria - it was at the very least different and forced you to change plans when everything went south on your original plan).
 
Where did you order from? The US......hahaha cause that is about when we get it.
 
OK - This game is seriously good.

I love it when the wildlife helps out and eats the pirates for you

I actually don't want to hear anything!! I'm not reading reviews because I want to find out everything myself in the game, so if anyone is going to spoil something please say you are going to :D 👍
 
Man Have I feasted on that game today.. just turned around and it looks like there was food shoved under the door :)

You may want to play this with headphones as the language is well colourfull!!
 
Shipping status is now 5 weeks so I'm going to the shop today to find that insane edition and if I can't, I'll go with the regular one.

Edit;
Went to the store and bought the last one! 20€ more expensive than online but no way I'm going to wait 5 weeks :lol:
 
WOW! That interweb ordering can be a pain, 5 weeks huh? Let's see, by then Far Cry 4 will be announced for the next generation consoles and FPM Season 27 will have just ended! Better off doing what you did.

1 more day for me though, picking it up early tomorrow morning for an all day Map Creation Tuesday!
