This game is amazing!!!!!

Edit:
Never played the previous games but I'm liking it very much. Going to check the map creater later on, want do some more campaign first!

You mean a multiplayer access code? Season pass would just allow a discount on map packs etc, no?

@Carlos, yeah just started SP, so far I am having a blast. Still early in and I am just taking my time and learning the plethora of tasks, items, relics. So much stuff, this is more like a FPS RPG so far, pretty good.

I meant online pass not season pass. I will correct that. Oh well I will check out the campaign and wait for feedback from friends that get the game. I just hope the community stays alive. Its usually quite small for the FC series. From what I heard you can have AI in your custom built maps. That sounds awesome.

Yeah it's almost a bit like Assassin's Creed. I am making upgrades for myself now because I can only carry 1 weapon. The M700 rifle is amazing, headshotted some goats yesterday. Haven't played today but I'm going for it after dinner :D

Is it possible you join me in my world like in Gears of War? (Or Minecraft)

I know there is co-op but not sure how it works yet. I have a few places to go in a bit but will be on again in a few.

Dude, have you witnessed an alligator/croc attack yet? Scared the **** out of me, LOL.

Hahaha no not yet! When I went up a stair a snake bit me, I jumped up from the couch  And one other snake wished he didn't, I heard him rattle, turned around and just shot my rifle and got him!!

LOL. Yeah I have confirmed in just my first 2 hours of playing that this game is incredible. I have discovered caves, underwater caves, tons of wildlife and drug induced mushroom hunts......needless to say, you can't go wrong with Far Cry 3!

MAN those mushrooms were amazing!! Also just love how the game feels, Vaas is really crazy! Really like how they created him. And those chicks look pretty nice, some guys are saying bad things to them  One I heard: You look skinny, can't you cook?

Sounds like a blast. Like a mix of RDR but on a tropical island. Looking forward to checking out this campaign tonight. Anyone played the 6 co-op levels yet? I heard they have some bugs and issues in the co-op. Just wondering about how long each one is. Since I rented the game I wont be able to check out the co-op or multiplayer.

Rented this and had a chance to play for about an hour last night. About 45 minutes in campaign and 15 minutes in map maker. One thing is for sure, the 360 graphics look NOWHERE near as good as the pics on the PC. In fact I would say FC3 might even look a little worse than FC2 graphically on the 360. The draw distance seems grainy like Sleeping Dogs on the 360. Gameplay is fun and the storyline started very good. I like how much we can loot items and skin animals in this game. Reminds me of a mix between RDR meets Skyrim with guns.

In the map maker I noticed only certain animals will attack you. Could not get the sharks to attack me on the map maker. The AI animals and enemies are restricted to around 30ish. Which is not too bad but you really need to choose them wisely.

Since I rented this I will not be able to access the co-op or multiplayer. I heard the 6 co-op levels have quite a few bugs. Currently overwhelmed and backlogged with so many other games that I am not sure if this will be a purchase for me.

Well, for a console game, a console nearing it's life cycle, it looks pretty good.

Of course it can't hold a stick to the PC version. Most console ports don't, for a simple reason really: superior hardware.

I realize that too but for a sandbox game it can look a bit rough compared to other open world sandbox games. Like Skyrim, SR2, SR3, Just cause 2........ Compared to those, its a bit rough. I have always cared more about gameplay, I was just a little shocked it seemed to go backward graphically compared to the other FC games. Looking forward to playing the campaign some more.

I guess the community is much smaller than I expected. Judging by the forums there are only about 500-800 people playing? Maybe there will be more by the weekend but thats a much lower amount than I expected. The online pass is not helping at all. I bet the community would be tripple the size if it wasnt for the online pass. I thought Ubisoft would have learned their lesson from having an online pass for Future Soldier but I guess not.

I don't know why you focus on the graphics so much but I just love it. The gameplay is really good.

Then again, I don't know why you focus so much on the graphics. With gameplay I meant the whole game and I just can not believe this game should not be bought because the graphics are bad, while they clearly are not. Just buy the game and enjoy, I'm sure you will 👍

Edit:
What I mean is, the graphics are good enough for what you can get on a very old console. It's not that bad.. The rest of the game is awesome and I woul just hate to see someone turning this game down because he focused on graphics (I think) too much..

I don't think he's focusing too much on graphics, but simply commenting on how his expectations weren't met, compared to previous FC games on consoles.

I can't wait to get this. Haven't had the opportunity to pick it up, but it's on my list of priorities at the moment.

Never was a Ubisoft fan generally, but FC3 is a must own.

Exactly. At least YOU understand. All I was saying was compared to those other games, this one is a little gritty graphically. But still a very fun game. Carlos always seems to be in a different world. At least he didnt rage or get all angry this time.

I am indeed enjoying the game a lot. Played for at least another hour or more last night. As I said above it reminds me of a mix between RDR and Skyrim. Especially since you have a lot of looting, can hunt animals for skins, collect plants, dynamic animals, and dynamic weather. I have taken over a couple bases, bought a sniper rifle, and expanded my carrying sack. I also can carry more money too. Even shot a caged tiger and allowed it to attack everyone at a checkpoint so I didnt have to do any dirty work. haha I always love looting so its very hard for me to stay focused in games like this. Ohhhh there is a plant I need, oohhh a box to loot, oh an animal to kill to increase my wallet size, oohh enemies to level up.......Oh a tower for another fast travel location. lol

I did find out something quite disappointing. YOu are not able to publish any of your maps if you have ANY AI at all. So you cant make a map with animals or human AI then go online with that map for others to check out. Thats actually quite disappointing IMO for the map maker.

I'm sorry man 👍 I think the language barrier is sometimes killing me.. But I'm happy to see you enjoy it :D

Yeah the ai issue is upsetting and to see just about everyone wanting this added I imagine ubi to add bit I highly doubt it as I am sure there are issues with something to either make it to expensive or time consuming. But everything else about the game is so fresh and so clean.

I'm still really happy with this game!! :D Love hunting down those camps and get 1500xp extra if you do it unseen :D

Most reviewers really praised the SP experience. But did criticize the MP aspect, due to a few shortcomings here and there.
Yes the campaign is very good. The co-op has quite a few bugs and causes the 360 to freeze. MP community is very small. The online pass allowed me to play up to level 15 in co-op then blocked me. Which was about 1 co-op level once it finally worked. The campaign is where this game truly shines. I think I am at chapter 6 maybe. I rented it but will eventually buy when the price drops. I am guessing about a month and it will be $30.00.

I think I am now around chapter 8 and some of this actually reminds me a little of Uncharted in a good way. So now its a combination of RDR, Skyrim, JC2, and Uncharted.

People have been reporting a major game ending bug with FC3. I think the camera and rock disappearing "bug" might actually be part of the game. I finished a mission last night and this happened to me and I thought I had the game ending bug. I could not even fire my gun or anything. I almost gave up. Well once I got out of that area and headed to do the next mission, everything started working again. I am almost thinking they do this to you on purpose to maybe conserve ammo or to keep you on track?? So now if it happens I just continue toward the next mission or fast travel away from that area. Then it seems to work again. But I was not able to get my camera, rocks, or gun to work. Now it all works fine.

Hope I can pick this up in the weekend. Just bought Forza Horizon online. Hope I will get enough money for my birthday Saturday. Actually it was my birthday today.

Hmm...right...

So I got the game recently and...

What's the big deal about the SP campaign? The graphics are OK, and it moves at a choppy 25 to 30 fps..with screen tear all over the place. There's even screen tearing while you're moving the screen around looking at the map! The various missions are nothing to rave about. It's an above average shooter IMO. I bet the PC version is very satisfying to play though.

Never had a thing for Ubisoft games anyway, and it looks like I fell for it again: wow..great reviews..gotta pick it up.

Eeeekh!

Am I the only one enjoying this game?

No I am liking it too. Sometimes the missions are frustrating but it is definetly one of the best games this year. I have not even completed the game, because I didn't know how to unlock weapon slots. This game gets a solid 9/10 from me.
