Well, my Tremor decided to photo bomb this classic. I think they look great together, so I bought the classic, too!
It's a 1987 F-150 XLT Lariat with a 5.0 Windsor and 2 wheel drive. Notice the Flare Side bed, which was not a feature on any 1988 to 1991 F-150. Only a very few 1987 trucks got these as Ford worked through their stock. Once they were gone they were gone.
I've owned now five 5.0 Windsor powered vehicles and two 5.0 Coyote powered trucks.
Inside this thing is all red (Lariat);and all original. It's super clean inside and out.
My stepmom drove a similar truck from 1989 to 1995, and my wife drove another similar one from 2008 to 2016.
Being 39 years old it does have some mechanical issues, but it does start and run far enough to get gas or whatever. I'll start with that!
I have to credit Gran Turismo with lighting my interest in rare or classic trucks. It's why I bought the Tremor you see in the one photo.
If anyone has tips on suitable storage for this gem, I'm all ears!
