Faster than the speed of sound?

*note I do know that the speed of sound is ~750 MPH

I was racing online(SSRX) in an x2011, everyone was drifting, etc... well, i hit 362 MPH and the cars engine sounds quit. It wasn't a "your stereo stopped working for 2 seconds" thing because i could hear the people talking.

Thoughts?

Just some sort of glitch which mutes engine sound at certain speeds

Note: This has already been addressed in numerous threads. Infact, I also believe a thread with a similar title and addressing the exact same thing exists.

I came here expecting a discussion on the possibility of a faster-than-sound drafting chain.
