I thought I'd make a list of some cars that are surprisingly fast in reverse. Anybody can these use this list for their own desires.

I myself don't have any specific speeds right at this moment but if anyone has any just fill this out and I'll update this post accordingly.

Car: (I won't list if it's tuned or not, as if a faster time is posted it will be updated accordingly.)
Speed Attained: (Km or Miles, I'll fill in the missing one.)

It's that simple. :)

Cars:

These will be ranked from fastest to slowest, and all speeds will be listed in kilometres AND miles.

Kilometres / Miles / Car

- 230 / 143 / Chapparal 2D
- 210 / 131 / Chapparal 2J (This isn't accurate, update appreciated)

The list is quite small because these are the only cars I've tested and can recall to some extent.

Uses:

Now there aren't many uses for this, but I'll reserve a place in this thread for all those who win a race in reverse. If you have managed this feat just post here and I'll update this section. Hopefully we will see a few people here. :)

Any updates from you GTP'ers is appreciated, hopefully this list is helpful to any of you looking for a challenge or deeply interested in reverse. :)

Thanks.

I did this racing Eiger in an MR (Name is slipping me ATM)

But I got a little anxious coming around the last bend, turned it sideways, slight panic...

Frantically hoping my DFPro was straight, and held down Triangle. Can't say I've ever placed 1st in a race with the opponents in front of me; until then.

I am really interested in trying to win a race like this, however it'll prove challenging as Forklift steering isn't optimum for racing. :D

If you want to amuse yourself driving backwards, take one of the electric cars (GT by Citroen concept or Tesla Roadster work great), get it going in a straight line, handbrake it 180 and slam it into reverse.
