Recently, someone asked me what was the fastest way to complete all 54 of the A/B spec events, and so I started giving it some thought and here is what I have come up with:

Cars Needed to complete all 54 of the A/B-spec events in the fastest time:
  1. (any NASCAR car)
  2. Audi R8 LMS Race Car '09
  3. Audi R8 Race Car '01
  4. Bentley Speed 8 Race Car '03
  5. Chaparral 2J Race Car '70
  6. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) RM '09
  7. Chevrolet SSR '03
  8. Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car '67
  9. Ferrari Enzo Ferrari '02
  10. Gran Turismo Formula Gran Turismo
  11. Gran Turismo Red Bull X2010
  12. Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) RM '97
  13. Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 '08
  14. Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce '09
  15. Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07
  16. Mercedes-Benz Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car '89
  17. Mini MINI COOPER S '07
  18. Pagani Zonda R '09
  19. Peugeot 905 Race Car '92
  20. Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) RM '95
  21. Suzuki ESCUDO Dirt Trial Car '98
  22. Toyota MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89
  23. Toyota Toyota 7 Race Car '70
  24. Toyota VITZ RS Turbo '02
  25. Volkswagen Lupo Cup Car '00

This got me wondering what was the fewest amount of cars (as well as being fast/est) needed to complete all 54 events:
  1. (any NASCAR car)
  2. Audi R8 LMS Race Car '09
  3. Chaparral 2J Race Car '70
  4. Chevrolet SSR '03
  5. Ferrari Enzo Ferrari '02
  6. Gran Turismo Formula Gran Turismo
  7. Jaguar XJ13 Race Car '66
  8. Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 '08
  9. Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89
  10. Mini MINI COOPER S '07
  11. Peugeot 905 Race Car '92
  12. Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) RM '95
  13. Toyota Toyota 7 Race Car '70
  14. Toyota VITZ RS Turbo '02
  15. Volkswagen Lupo Cup Car '00

UPDATE 6/26:

From MethusalemGTP:

Here is a "Budget Version" of the list. It's more oriented towards getting the cars as you progress along the events.

  1. Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89 - 3 Events, NCD Lvl 0
  2. Mini MINI COOPER S '07 - 5 Events, NCD Lvl 1
  3. Daihatsu OFC-1 Concept 07 - 1 Event, B License Silver
  4. Toyota Yaris F (J) 99 or Toyota VITZ 99 - 2 Events, UCD Lvl 0
  5. Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 69 - 5 Events, UCD Lvl 7
  6. Ferrari 512BB 76 - 5 Events, NCD Lvl 8
  7. Ford SVT F-150 Lightning 03 - 1 Event, NCD Lvl 4
  8. Berlinette R/S Coupe 99 - 1 Event, ASpec: World Compact CS
  9. Dome Dome-Zero Concept 78 - 1 Event, ASpec: Supercar Nostalgia Cup
  10. Volkswagen Lupo Cup Car '00 - 1 Event, BSpec: European Hot Hatch CS
  11. Lotus Elise 111R 04 - 1 Event, NCD Lvl 5
  12. Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 '08 - 9 Events, NCD Lvl 12
  13. BMW M3 GTR Race Car 01 - 3 Events, NCD Lvl 16
  14. NASCAR Racing Car 2010 - 2 Events, NCD Lvl 21
  15. Gran Turismo Formula Gran Turismo - 14 Events, NCD Lvl 24

Hope this helps others out identifying what cars they might want to use in order to not only complete all the A/B events, but also in record time.

I'm curious why you have the 2J on here instead of the RM Vette. 2J costs a ton more, is very hard to find, and gets beat easy by the Vette. $685K vs $10M+. Are you praying for a 1970 ticket? (because we know the '70 Toyota 7 is won as a prize).

I guess if you can afford the 2J, it would be one less car (Classic muscle car series), but a boatload more $.

Just curious.

Not really sure what you are referring to.

First of all, neither list has anything to do with cost, and I would argue that cost really shouldn't be a factor as credits are easily come by. You can also easily make a 1970 B'day account and get it for free. Even for those that don't want to grind or use any exploits, it is quite easy to find people willing to trade for any B'day ticket, like 1970.

In fact, with the borrowing feature it is extremely easy to find people more than willing to lend just about any car you would care to use. Which means you wouldn't even have to bother with trading, grinding, or exploiting. Basically, at this point every car in the game (with the exception of DLC cars) is fairly easy to use if you take the initiative to find someone who will put it on their share list.

Which BTW is how this list got started as the friend was asking to borrow some of my cars to complete the spec events in a timely fashion. Thus also the reason behind the second list, which I made to identify the fewest as well as being the fastest cars needed to complete all of the events - thus making it that much easier and faster to find and share those cars with others.

Second of all, the RM Vette is listed in the first list (#6) as well as the 2J (#5) as both are the fastest car I am aware of for different events:

RM Vette
  1. Beginner Series FR challenge
  2. Professional Series Muscle Car Championship
  3. Extreme Series American Championship
2J
  1. Amateur Series Classic Muscle Car Championship

Lastly, the second list doesn't include the Vette RM because a NASCAR car can qualify for all three of those events as well as the Extreme Series NASCAR Series, which of course the RM Vette can not qualify for.

The reason the 2J made it to the second list is that not only is it the fastest for the Amateur Series Classic Muscle Car Championship, but more importantly, none of the other 14 cars in that list nor the RM Vette even qualify for that event.

Thus the RM Vette would simple be redundant in terms of identifying the fewest cars needed to complete all the spec events.

That said, in terms of being the fastest, it was the best for three of the events which is why it is included in the first list.

Hope this helps clear up any questions you had regarding the RM Vette and the reasons behind both lists, and why it didn't make it to the second list.

BTW: It's the same reason why the X2010 is also not on the second list, despite clearly being the fastest car in any event it can qualify for (21). Because the GT FGT qualifies for all of the same events as well as the Expert Series MR Sports Cup (which the X2010 can not) and is the only car that qualifies for the Extreme Series Formula GT.

It is also why the Jaguar XJ13 Race Car '66 and the Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89 made it on the second list despite not making it on the first list.

The XJ13 made it because it could qualify for the following events:
  1. Beginner Series European Classic Car Championship
  2. Beginner Series World Classic Car Series
  3. Professional Series British Lightweight
Where as the Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car '67 could only qualify for the first two, and the fastest car for the third event, the Bentley Speed 8 Race Car '03, would have simply been redundant.

The Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) made it because it could qualify for the following events:
  1. Amateur Series NR-A Roadster Cup
  2. Endurance Series Roadster 4 hours
  3. Professional Series Sports Car Cup 80's Festival
Where as the Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07 could only qualify for the first two, and the fastest car for the third event, the Toyota MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89, would have simply been redundant.

Bottom line: The goal of the first list is to identify which cars are the fastest for each spec event. The goal of the second list is to identify the fewest fast cars needed to complete all the spec events.

Now some people may have better luck and skill with different cars modified and tuned differently. In which case I would welcome alternative choices. 👍

Point taken on the sharing and not figuring in expense. ^5
