I'm not sure about 400PP, but renault megane is stupid fast. I love telling the story about how my ugly French hatchback on sports tires can keep up with the most powerful 500PP on RS tires.

Renault 5 turbo 393pp when rebuilt and has a waayyyy better weight distribution than any other hatchback (aside from the Peugeot Turbo 16 also 412pp with rebuild)

So,lets get this straight, you will keep up with a 500pp NSX on RS in a Renault Megane on Sports tyres?

Either you race extremely bad drivers or we have the future GT ACADEMY 2012 winner!?

I find that highly unlikely!

VW Golf R '10, it's powerful and has AWD :).

If you don't have the DLC then a Honda CR-X Si-R '90 is a really handy car to use for 400pp events, the CR-X awesome for the seasonal events once you master it. :)

The golf r is a fantastic car with the right tune but its crippled in pp races due its overly high pp rating, try the Mitsubishi fto gpx, its a Flyer at 400 to 450pp

I wish as I love Mitsubishi's...although it has to be a "classic hatchback" body style similar to Mini, Civic etc..

@Rock, hell no I'm gonna use every tactic possible to win!:):):)

...is ruled out, because it begins at 430 PP, unless a player decides to de-tune it.

...this on the other hand has to be tuned-up a bit, and when it is, it is one incredibly competitive hot-hatch :)

Which cars? No image or name:grumpy:

I used the Punto Abarth for the recent 400pp seasonal and was seriously surprised by just how competitive it was. Detuned to 400pp using power limiter, running a Civic suspension setup from the tuning section and mis-matched tyres, which aided with the turn-in. I even used it in the 500pp event at it's full 470pp and still won, beating the normally class-beating NSX.
If tyres are not limited, I use RS tyres up front and Intermediate Wets on the rear. This is the setup I use to great effect on numerous FF cars for the twisty circuits.

Another suggestion would be the Spoon Civic, although I can't confirm the PP levels would comply at this moment.

Thanks to everyone who helped!👍👍👍 After much tuning and practice looks like
for 400pp the fastest 3 were:

Sprinter AE86 83
205 Turbo 16 '85
Focus ST170 '03

There were a few others that were close, but in races so far in Deep Forest
and Rome these were the top contenders.
