I just wanna know how many people are out there that can tune their cars to be faster than most of the competition.

The regulations are as follows.

Assists: ABS set at 1, Skid Recovery Force on. everything else off. (You MUST use these assists)
Track: Laguna Seca Raceway
Track Settings: Penalties at weak, Light Damage, Low track edge setting.
Car: Mazda RX-7 TC
Power restrictions: 625 PP
Tires: RS (Racing Soft)

Run the track in free practice, online practice works too. NO DRAFTING OR CUTTING (CHEATER:D)
Try to match or beat my best lap. My best time: 1:16.5xx

Post your time here. post a replay video if you wish. I believe a 1:15.8xx is possible, but you gotta drive like a bat outta hell to get below 1:16.000.

Have fun!👍

I do this all the time but haven't done the RX-7 tc, I last did a 1:43.950 with the '96 elise RM on sports hard with all aids off, but of course that's not 650pp

Quick tip: in order to successfully turn abs off you have to turn brake bias to 1/1 or 1/0

Also you didn't specify tires

If you gave a prize to the winner (for example a nice car on GT5 or a year of GTPlanet premium) maybe you would get more people to participate and it could get competitive.

Ok, If people want to get competitive, I'll put up my fully tuned CT230R. Fastest lap time wins the car. If nobody beats the target time, they get nothing. Match the target time, get 1 rare paint chip. Choice of color shift or Matte category.

Only 2 paint chips and 1 car are available. First come First served.

ungrateful haters. I'm putting up my own crap and a rare paint chip and all I get is the prick that complains about SRF. Go back to your elitest room and don't comment if it's just a complaint.

Sorry, slip of the hand, forgot to use Slippy Fingers Recovery!

No one is taking up the challenge cos no one but you uses n00b Force!

Surely though, it will be more about driving skill than tuning skill for the most part. I would try it but I don't have the car.

SRF on? There is absolutely no reason for ABS or any brakes for that matter then. Also, no need for throttle control either.

Can I try beating your time with no aids? nevertheless, If I'm not mistaken, that time seems impressive. I remember battling those times in a F1 2007 unassisted.

What is skillfull about using SFR?:dunce:
Getting the most out of SRF still requires skill. The OP said about who can tune their cars faster but I think any basic setup for the PP and someone who is faster driver than the OP will win.

Exactly, every assist in the game has a razor's edge. It's up to the driver to find it.

If you're genuinely interested in how well people can tune cars, then I'd recommend having a look through this thread. You'll find an archive of other events run by the Tuning community stickied at the top of the Tuning Forum.

As you'll see, the fastest car ran a 1.29.994, at 525PP on Sport Soft tyres, all aids off, other than ABS 1.

I'd be very suprised if your time isn't destroyed by someone half compentent. How about considering changing your restrictions, so that it appeals to others (i.e. turn off SRF), selecting a car that everyone has access to and set grip reduction to real and tyre wear on..??

Ha ha, why would anyone want to compete with someone who acts like that? While I don't use SRF, and would have just skipped this competition because of that, I understand that everyone has different taste. I know I wouldn't have made a first post such as the one here, without the expectation that someone would complain about the SRF. Then you lash out at people for the inevitable?

I don't really care who uses what (assists) but wouldn't using SRF mask any changes to the cars setup?

Yep. Same with RS tyres.
