Are we to assume that the fastest lap leader boards dont mean much any more there are some obviously false times entered e.g. 4.42.893 on the ring in circut practice mode, some of the details of the F1 are also incorrect, this has been there for some time now so I just wondered if there monitored any more, this time is impossible and should be removed it spoils things for others.

495 KG = 1091.277 lbs 595.242 lbs lighter than Minolta


Toyota Minolta 88C-V Race Car 1989

1103 PS = 1087.88 HP

765 KG = 1686.519 lbs


not sure on this, because I don't have the Polyphony car yet but if the top time for the Minolta is 4'48 (veilsidebr) and he says its possible to achieve 4'46 in it. Then looking at the Polyphony's stats it looks a lot lighter (35.29%) and not much weaker than the Minolta so is 4'42 with a better car that inconceivable?

veilsidebr has his movies posted on here and from what I can tell it would be possible for a little better, not sure if 2 seconds could be taken off of it, but I'm no expert :)
 
possible it may be...only a replay would say just ask for it....!
And while doing it mess up my WoodOne TomsSupra time in circuit practice mode so we can se how fast it can do the nurb...fully tuned :drool:

Impossible for me atleast....lol. I have been studying your Minolta lap Sam and DAMN that is just FFFAASSTTTT!!!! Truly great work buddy! I submitted a 5:16.1xx (with tcs because its my first time in the car) Minolta so I'm only like 30 seconds back, ppssshhhhtttt no problem I'll have it beat by Tuesday....lol. As for the F1, that thing is just a BEAST to say the LEAST. Especially with no TCS its kinda tough to gauge the throttle on my ds2 but its still fun because I can pretty much do anything I want in these cars.

I've been chasing jmgyro all over GT Racing Point it seems, u got some great times there man, just a touch faster than me, great comp!

I´ve done another lap at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

VeilSidebr - 4'44.650 - Toyota Minolta Arcade Mode - DFP - MT - No TCS no ASM 👍

Just to say, that 4'42.8 claimed as bull****, i can get it. At least a 4'43 i can get. I will try that combo again sometime soon, altough i´ve set one faultless perfect lap into 4'44, i can see a 4'43, and the limit is somewhere inside 4'42. 👍 :)

My bet for a perfect lap, in the F1, is somewhere inside 4'40 or 4'41. No, no way for a 4'39, at least now. Maybe in some months i see that, but meanwhile, really not. 👍

i have been studying your laps, first of all, first rate driving, absolutley stunning!

i have begun my personal campaign to get a lap of t'ring to somewhere under 5minutes, i am currently 5.35.99 with the Sauber C9.

questions for you though, first of all, if i speed test any of my cars i usually come out against either the C9 or the Audi R8 as the fastest on the game, but you lot recklon its either the F1 or the minolta? how come????

what settings are you using for these cars because i seem to be missing something!!!????
(for example, i simply cannot get the minolta to stay in a strait line down the back strait on the ring, suspension is absolutley tuneless...)

have you managed to up the power from standard on the F1 or something?????

Also, are you using the Gforce streering system, because the throttle/brake control seems to be too delicate for pad use?

also, how old are you lot? i am 27, it would be interesting to get a demographic of the age of us GT obsesives.

I did my lap on arcade, so the only settings i changed were 420 kph. I drove the lap over the Driving force pro wheel, strongest forcefeedback possible, no assists nothing, no tcs nor asm.

btw, i am 18, i live in brazil, são paulo.

i have watch the video with the Minolta. 👍 BC is over for me but the Nurb still in. :D

The same for me. Now i will really work on that nurburgring lap, also in the F1 lap.

btw, do u think u can crack that 4'44 time? i guess i can down more 2 seconds, maybe more with some practice, but i will work in the F1 lap now, wich my goal is very further.
 
I done a 5:21 in the Subaru Impreza LM Race Car Tuned up to the max with no tcm it was great anyone else got a time in the 5's in a subaru message me if u have!!!

What is your fast lap at the ring using a DS2? Just curious. I've turned a clean 5.17 on the NA version using a Sauber C9 on the DS2. Since I do not have a port for verification I post my setups so players can try for themselves and decide if times are realistic or not.

my old record is 4'48.108 in DS2. My new time in DFP is 4'44.650, can be a 4'42 or 41.

Hi, I'm just new in this forum. I agree with your point. Try as I may I can't get near that time. The best I've managed is a 5'47.946 in a Jaguar XJR-9 Race Car '88. I'll be submitting this for posting on the leaderbard and also try it verified. I also would like to attach a picture of the TV screen showing my laptime and the car but since I live in Saudi Arabia the image upload button is blocked (obscure censorship issues here guys, sorry!). But am willing to email it so the administrator can post it? if that is possible.

Anyways, my set up is: R5 Tires, using DS2; 1112/1097BHP; 894kgs.
 
I am unabel to register my time in the leaderboard because the car I used isnt in the car choices which is very peculiar. Why is this?

I achieved a time of 5'47.946 for Nurgburgring using a Jaguar XJR-9 Race Car '88 shob in R5 tires; 1112bhp/1097bhp; 894 kgs using a DS2. All other setups are in the default.

I won't beat veilsiders sub 5 minute times but I'm sure I can smoke your azz on a two up. Just started playing this thing but am getting the hang of it - middle age crisis.

also i have been doing som other lap records with the F1 and minolta (in arcade), here are some of the times i manage

I dont know your secrets guys but I do my runs not in arcade mode.. I do my runs in the world circuits. Altho I'm 75% complete I still am a novice to this. The minolta is fast but I find it such an uncontrollable beast in certain parts of the nurburgring circuit. I can really do blistering fast runs but it would mean cheating and not a clean one.

This would sound silly but I just wonder if the cars are faster in arcade mode?

there you go with nice times mate, i reckon i coulda beat them if i was on GT yet but i stoped with GT as you know pretty well, but u got optimun times for now. 👍

That 1'04 at tokyo can be done in GT mode, i reckon the Arcade will throw you in the low 1'03´s. 👍

thanx, i wouldnt think a low 1'03 is possible at tokyo though, probably the ultimate limit is a low 1'04 or high 1'03. if u have given up gt then why are u still here at gtplanet :)
