I prefer the Ford GT spec II LM race car, i drive laps fastest with that one.

👍

i love the Ford GT spec II LM race car. Another car that easily wins is the Viper Team Oreca. The Ford is a hair faster but i love both cars.

The RM ZR1 also can win the indy race at american championship handily.

OP said LMP, not Group C racer :sly:

I have both 908s, either one (totally depending on your tastes of course) is insanely fast. I have yet to try the Audi R10, R8 or any of the Pescarolos, but I assume the R8 will be a beast. It was in GT4.

My Oreca 908 has done a 5:45.567 around Nurby, 3 seconds faster than what I could manage with the 787B.

The Audi R10 is much slower than all the others but is rather fun to drive, definitely not worth the extra 750mil over the 908 if you have a Need for Speed:D

i own all the LMP's

The fastest is between the GT-ONE, Sauber C9, Minolta & R92

Best handling the R8 2001, 787b, 908 & 905

The group C cars chew though tires in single player and multiplayer. therefore you usually have to stop for tires 1 - 2 laps sooner.

Slowest is by far the r10. its just fun to drive but if you put it up against any of the others you will be left behind unless others make mistakes.

Most are pretty even in performance though, and dont pick which one you get just on top speed.

Wow, this is a real bummer. I've been saving to get another LMP car, I have the 787B and the Minolta. I was thinking of the R10, but perhaps it would be better to get the 908s before I get the R10. Hard to believe it's slower, but I'll take your work for it!! thx

I have the majority of Group C/LMPs, only missing 2 Pescarolos. For me, these are the cars i get round the fastest at la sarthe, in order:

1. GT ONE
2. Audi R8 2001
3. Sauber C9
4. Mazda 787B

They are my 4 fastest, GT ONE hits 254mph on the straights with no chicane, with a chicane u can hit 240+ before slamming the breaks. Audi R8 would be the best handling and for me its my favourite LMP.

My first few expensive cars were LMPs.

It went: R10 - HDI FAP - 787B

R10 was a nice car, handled great, but after running the Peugeot, it seemed slightly inferior, so I traded for a 787B.

My god, the car is a demon. The exhaust note sounds like a beast bursting forth from the bowels of hell.

The 787B has superior handling to everything else than the F1's and X2010. It is far easier to control than the other cars and it doesn't spin unless you destroy the balance by messing with LSD (limited slip differential, not the other LSD). Then again, it costs 5.3m compared to the cheaper 908.

Audi R10 is right out. It's inferior to the 787B and 908 in all ways.

I know they are not LMP or Group C cars, but both Chaparral's rape everyone else in a lot of events.

Hmm is there a good car for the Extreme amercian race then that gives 96k (At least in aspec) and takes 3min (Prolly 6-8 in bspec) so I can speed up my money earning? :p

get the corvette zr1 from dealer then make it rm fully tune 2 905bhp max its downforce 4 the indy track and watch it blitz the competition or u can get the ford gt lm spec test 2 car from dealer or any of the gt1 american cars or a panoz gt1 race car which is practically an lmp2 car. 1st option is cheapest though

My bob has done the first 24 hour race many times, and the R8 always come in second(I'm first). Then the blue and green planstation car( sorry not sure of the name) but the R8 is always a few laps ahead of the next car by the end of the race. Didn't read page 2 or 3, sorry if this has been said or already on a different topic, hope this helps

It's the Pescarolo

Depends on the circuit...

If it's a technical circuit, better use R8.
Speed circuit, Nissan R92CP, Minolta or Jag XJR9
Cobination of the above, Chap. 2J or R92CP.

The 2001 R8 is wicked quick dont discount that car.. anything the R10 can pick a fight with itll leave in the dust.. i know.. i own them both

The Toyota TS020 is a bit down on power compared to some of the other LMPs, but it can give most of them a run for their money going flat out.

Poppins
The Toyota GT One is the fastest.

Also holds one of the fastest laps of Le Mans.

I adore the GT One but it needs to be set up well and you need to be smooooooooth to get the most out of it.
