Title says it all. Not sure if there's an existing thread for this. I've done the Super Car Festival Daytona race till my car is fully broken in, but it takes a long time. Any other ways to do this? Post below!

Tune your transmission as high as you can get it, get a buddy with one of them hacked hybrid doo-hickeys. And slipstream behind him. No idea if this would work or not.

Bspec endurance, grand valley or laguna seca. This is technically the fastest way because you don't even have to be there for it to happen, it just takes you the minute or two to set up the race and that's it.

GTPorsche
80 laps of the Indy 500 in B-Spec.

This is the fastest and easiest. Find average lap time X 80 and set your watch and forget about it.

That counts? To exit an event part way thru? I thought it would be like the 80 laps never happened to quit early.

It works and I used it to break in new cars every week for SNAIL SPEC Racing. Make sure you quit while the car is racing on track and not in the pit. Might work both ways but I've never tried quitting while pitting.

10 laps on SSRX.
300 km is the recommended break-in mileage.

That translates to 186.4 miles.

I always do exactly this, either in training mode or in my lobby. But don´t do a 10 lap free run online because that won´t count! Make it a race set to 10 laps. If you have a wheel put a rubber-band around the DS3 (R3-Stick up) to accelerate and put a bowl of chips and a six pack of beer next to yourself, and use the "Car Radio".

I even break-in the slowest cars this way and always have tire wear/consumption on.

It's like the race never existed - but it does affect the car.

Break in the car using your best B-Spec driver. Or do it personally - if you want to 'train' the car a special way.

Maybe this is witchcraft - but the way you break-in the 'engine' is important, too.
There are a couple of threads around.. . .

I can not find any posts about special ways of break-in engines / 'train' a car. As far as I know all that matters is the mileage no importa 'how'.

Could you provide a link or elaborate your claim, please?

I break my cars in by dragging a couple of my good friends into a lounge with me so I can share the monotony and just chat away while the kilometres tick by 👍

Alternatively, enter the car into Grand Valley 300km in B-spec, turn your telly off and bugger off outside/to sleep/and use your computer

The way it's broke in doesn't matter. It's just a matter of getting 300 km on the car. B-spec is the easiest, everything else involves driving, which to me is a huge waste of time.

Well it's simple like that, if I have to do something like washing dishes or repair anything or whatever else it might be: one of my Bob's happy to get some work.

If I feel like hanging around and just listen to some tunes having a beer or two... I'd rather get behind my wheel and drive myself...listening to music, having a beer or two...since I had nothing else to do anyways.

Heck, I even would brake other peoples cars in for 2 silver chrome paint chips :dopey:

If you go to practice, not a race, but like drift practice on tskuba, sit there and do drifting and donuts for hours, does that work? And when you say "train" what exactly is meant by that?

I don't think that will work. Never tried though. Just to test, go check your mileage, then go to drift practice and fart around for 5 minutes, then exit out and check your mileage again.

It's a Dukes of Hazzard thing where you get the car up on 2 wheels and make them jump bales of hay.

The free run in Practice Mode will add mileage and break in the car. Not sure about drift mode.

I think practice mode is best for breaking cars in. Even when in the middle of tuning and adjusting cars, I've accidentally broken cars in because of the time I spent using them... There is no need to put much effort into it. 300km goes by pretty quickly.

Most of the cars I've messed with were broken in on Grand Valley Speedway just doing a handful of laps, adjusting the car and then doing more laps.
