Fastest way to earn credits fast?

I don't really want to complete the whole game, I just want to get credits and buy cars to go race online. Any tips on what races or what to race to get the most credits? I already know about the special events but I completed most of them already.
 
The general consensus I've found so far is the Extreme American Championship Indy race. 5 laps for just over 4 minutes of time (loading not included), and 98,000 credits. Be prepared for grinding...
 
As I have seen it so far, it really helps to complete as many of the championships available at your current level.
The challenges also provide hefty credits rewards and some nice amounts of EXP to go along with it too.
Hardest grind i've had to do was to get a Formula GT which I did around 20-30 races of the
indy 5 lappers in 'Like The Wind' then completed a heap of championships with the minolta 88cv I won from it.
 
Special events if you haven't done them yet. And if you have you can only do them once unfortunately but they do provide a great bump in EXP and Cr.

Exactly what I do! 2.5 hoursish of grinding netted me 5,000,000 credits to spend on a Formula Gran Turismo! All I need to do now is find the damn thing :(
 
I don't have access to the Extreme events yet, but I use the Turbo event in the Professional series. A few minutes around Grand Valley Speedway in my GTR and I get 36k. I'm grinding right now to race mod my ZR1...this blows.

Special events will level you up quickly. And put a ton of Cr. in your account.

I've already done all the ones I'm capable of getting golds in at this point. I'm only a level 19 so theres a few that haven't opened up to me.
 
I alternate between these Extreme races, mostly, to help keep what's left of my sanity. American Indianapolis Speedway 5-lap race, DTM Nordschleife 1-lap race, European Monza 5-lap race.
