GTPlanet and ForzaPlanet both lack a favicon I think. I mean every big website I know has one of these small icons to quickly recognize it on browser tabs or favourites, but these two lack it.

Did you ever think of introducing it?

Do you mean these?

My PC always shows the blank icon when I visit GTPlanet. Possibly an error on my PC's end - it's fairly old, a granny to be honest - but I see the favicons on almost every website I visit, and I think those who don't show one don't have one.

The only time I see the F favicon is when I'm opening a thread on ForzaPlanet, as long as I'm on main pages it shows blank.

Yes, both sites have had a favicon since their inception.

What operating system and web browser are you using?

Windows XP SP2 & Mozilla Firefox on the latest version, sadly all this running on a very old laptop which has started quite a lot of oddities over the years, so it's probably really my fault. I'll check on a decent newer PC next time I get to use one.

Honestly, I think it's the browser you're using. I don't see the icon in IE, but I do in Google Chrome. I've also got Windows XP (though SP3), on an older laptop.

I use IE and the favicon is indeed there. :)

How are you loading them? I don't see it called in the HTML. Most modern browsers will pick it up automatically if the favicon.ico file is in the root directory of the site which I assume must be what you're doing but not all do, I assume the issue here.

For that reason it's always a good idea to also include it in the head of the page.
