That Anderton is such a party pooper! :p j/k I'm just gonna move my post from the "Devil's Reject" here:

28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead(remake), The Ring, Ringu, Ghosts of Mars, The Ninth Gate, John Carpenter's Vampire, George Romero's 'Dead' Trilogy(not counting "Land of the Dead"), The Shining, An American Werewolf in London, Resident Evil(first), Blade(I & II), The Forsaken, From Dusk Till Dawn, Hellraiser, Return of the Dead(I & II), In the Mouth of Madness, Shaun of the Dead, Event Horizon, Identity.

These are the ones I own on DVD, so I'm sure I missed a lot. Only exceptions are the Ring and the Ringu. I don't own them, because I'm afraid to have them in my apartment. When I need to watch "The Ring"(scarier of the two), I go rent the DVD, then beg somebody to watch it with me. :nervous:

P.S. I saw "High Tension" tonight. It was pretty good. Many flaws, but I was pretty impressed with the better than expected acting. 👍

I saw Blair Witch with a friend at a drive-in because he wanted to test his at the time new stereo. That scared the living **** out of me for a good week and I didn't get much sleep either. Not to mention I had to go to Santa Cruz where there was forests. :scared: Is it my fav or did I like it? hellz no. :grumpy:

well, i think the exorcist is rather funny. nice and graphic though. i like hellraiser. havent seen them all though.

i think most horror movies are just to silly when they try to be scary.

now a really funny scary movie i like is cradle of fear.

The Shining most deffinatley, boy that woman in the bath still gives me shivers...

I never thought The Shining was much cop & i thought The Exorcist was utterly terrible!

On re-watch recently Halloween still stands up there, its very atmoshperic & Micheal Myers is so menacing he'd kick Jason or Freddie's butt for "presence".

My fav horror flick is Dog Soldiers, well its my fav ever film. its not scary really, but to be fair i am never scared at films. im just hard! lol.

Final Destination is the only film that has made me jump, and i defy anyone who saw that at the cinema with proper dts to have not jumped "you can all drop" SPLAT! And that blumin owl!

The Eye, 2 & 10 are the scariest films i have ever seen, they didnt "scare" me, but they seriously creeped me out & i felt a fair few shivers go up my spine!

555..is dog soldiers the one where that french military group gets slaughtered by warewolves then turns into them?

Hahah that movie was great...

my fav horror flick would either be the original Invasion of the body snatchers...or.....ummm......

Candyman

I haven't seen a good 'scary' movie in a while. But I'd have to say the Original 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre" was pretty alright.

Other than that, there's just been no good attempts, to me, lately.

There was a Pet Cemetary by my grandparents house, and well, I was scared like crazy of it....if you haven't seen the movie and you have pets, see it...

what in the hell is that movie with the wooden guy that kills all the college kids in the cabin? it was like if you took of its neckless it came to life and killed you. i liked the first movie more but the 2nd was also good.

Its hard to find a favorite scary movie since most of them aren't that good. I guess these would be my top favorites that I have actually watched several times and could watch them all again.
1. 13 ghosts
2. The Ring
3. What Lies Beneath
4. Dawn of the Dead (2004)

If I think of more I will add them in this post.

Camaroboy are you talking about the modem Ring or the Orignal The Rig.

My top 5:

1) 28 Days Later
2) Night of the living Dead
3) Dawn of the Dead (Romeo version)
4) Land of the Dead (I reckon i will enjoy this once i see it.)
5) Day of the dead (Romeo version)

That one sucks, you should watch the Japan version. Aka the orignal its much more better.

three films that stand out for me (all watched when i was 10-12, if watched now i would laugh)

1.Freddy Krugar (any)
2.Hell Raiser (any)
3.Stephen King's It.

I saw the movie on the SciFi channel at like...4AM...dude I remembered very little..the most vivid memory of it..was that Kitchen fight or whetever you want to call it.

I've got to say, the scene from a scary movie that has scared me the most was in " Night Of The Living Dead " When the zombie-ized young daughter chomps her moms neck, I still see it in my mind and cringe....

The movie that disturbed me most was Nighmare on Elm St 2 (I was 9)

Im not "scared" by those movies anymore so by saying they are a favorite just means entertained rather than scare factor.

I liked 28 days later, shaun of the dead, event horizon had a cool spin...I cant think of any more at the moment..

When i was a kid, poltergeist scared the living sh.. out of me. The clown under the bed scene still brings back childhood flashbacks of insomnia. To this day i hate clowns.
