So, what the hell is you all-time-favorite horror flick?

Is it the ever scary Glitter, the nail-biting Halloween series or something stupid like Resident Evil?

I have to go with Night of The Living Dead. Very smart movie with lots of little things most horror flicks don't have. The original was obviously miles better than the remake.

Welcome back rumple,

I'll have to agree with Klos with that one. Night of the Living Dead would probably have to be the best.

Clockwork Orange isn't really a horror movie but it disturbed me greatly. Especially since I was like nine when I saw it.

The original Night of the Living Dead was filmed in a cemetary that is about 5 miles from my house...in Evans City Pa.

I've only seen the remake of Night of the Living Dead and liked it a lot. Maybe I'll check out the original. Resident Evil wouldn't be my favorite horror flick, probably because I wouldn't consider it horror, but I really liked it.

All good votes but the one that really freaked me recently was "the others".

I still have favourites like, the thing (both versions), Alien(s) and Freddys, Hellraiser, anything by Ramerio, Evil Dead and stuff. But the others really got to me, still had the creeps 24 hours later.

My favorite would be "The Thing" (from '82, not the original.)
It is a fairly old move, but i still think that the special makeup effects are the best ever made.

I don't watch many horror movies, but I'd have to give Silence of the Lambs a vote for my favorite. If it could be considered a horror movie ~

"The Langalears" i think its pretty cool now but it really used to scare the living ****s outta me(i think i was around 6 when i first saw it)i remember watching it one night and i *tried* to go to bed and then i closed my eyes and i saw them(the langalears) and i just started screaming "MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY!!!!" and the top of my lungs!it was a frightening time for me.

The others was weird. I don't really watch many, but yeh, i guess the others.

Hard to pick just one.

The Shining
Hellraiser (the original)
The Thing (the remake)

I like Horror Flix that have a deep psychological archetype or disturbance at the core. I also like ones where the characters are alone.

Invasion of the Bodysnatchers...

Ringu-otherwise known to most of the english speaking world as "The Ring". but i'm not talking about the u.s. remake, i mean the original japanese cult-horror hit. it's really really scary!

Kangaroo Jack.

oh, wait, you meant real horror movies. Night of the Living dead it was, then...

My absolute favorite horror flick is Army of Darkness (psuedo horror flick anyway.)
More funny than scary to me, but Bruce Campbell rocks :)

I also really enjoyed the Ring recently, and look forward to seeing the original (and the sequel currently in release in Japan.)
And I also really liked The Blair Witch Project. It was a nice minimalist's view of old ghost stories crafted into a nice spooky movie. It also brought back childhood memories of games of "Ghosts in the graveyard" in the farm (complete with abondoned farm houses) across the street from my house.

I haven't seen too many horror movies, especially the mid '90 classics due to my lousy parents. But I'm trying to catch up and I must say I really enjoyed The Exorcist (DC).

I'll put in a good word for Stephen King's The Shining. Not the scariest movie I have ever seen, but it's really well made and there's a lot of good bits (eg horror scenes).

Scariest movie I've ever seen, uhh probley Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen Goto Paris.

Favourite horror flick, uhh cross between the Halloween series, the Texas Chainsaw Masacre series, and the Friday the 13th series. Not really scary to you guys maybe, but I'm 14, so I'm pretty much still freaked out by em.

The only scary movies that literally scared THE **** out of me were those old 80s werewolve movies. I forget what they were called, but dear god, i seen 1 scene and decided to watch something else. I was horrified.

Anybody here remember the Amitaville movies?

I remember once when i was in my teens (many moons ago:p ) i was of school for some reason and had an old B/W TV in my room and was watching an old Psycho movie, had the cold chills going and all that, but what really scared me was after i turnd the Tv off i heard the old man moving around the house, just after he had finished watching the movie himself
