For you , what is the best real-life track in GT6? What's the track that you know like the palm of your hand?

If i had to choose one , i'd choose Spa Francorchamps , it's just as challenging as the 'Ring but shorter , also because i always loved watching the Belgian F1 Grand Prix back in Ayrton Senna days . You can take any car to this track and still have a lot of fun .

I love every single twist and turn in this breathetaking course , especially the Eau Rouge .

So , vote on what (real-life) track you like the most and explain why you like it , cheers !

EDIT :

To those that like the 'Ring so much because it's big , keep in mind that Spa used to be 14.981 kilometres long (plenty of road).

3 years after its inauguration , the first ever "24 Hours Of Spa" occured , only a year after the 1st "24 Hours Of Le Mans" .

However...

"After a break of seven years due to World War II, racing activity restarted until the late 60s. However, drivers were increasingly reluctant to race on a circuit where a dozen of them had been killed over a decade."

"The old track was halved in length and the new circuit was inaugurated in 1979. Two years later, the start line was moved to where it is now, before the La Source hairpin rather than after it. Despite these changes, it was not until the early 21st century that the circuit finally met the new safety standards required by Formula 1. A second remodelling occurred between 2006 and 2007, with the modification of the 'Bus Stop' and 'La Source' hairpin."

"Fortunately, the changes to the Spa-Francorchamps circuit (now 7.004km) have not undermined its integrity and many drivers continue to cite it as their favourite circuit."

Here is some rFactor 2 gameplay so you get a general idea of it.

SILVERSTONE, SILVERSTONE, SILVERSTONE! Who doesn't like it? It's a very fun track to drive, having all sorts or corners and overtaking places, and it really does make for some close racing with any car!

I wanted to go for 3 tracks. I've finally gone with Suzuka. I think like you said for Spa it has plenty of history, including some with Ayrton. Also, I find it's long enough to have a real mix of corners but not so long that you can't remember what's next. I also like Brands Hatch and sometimes having a blast up Goodwood.

Generally, I like all the real world tracks because sometimes you see something on tv about them and it's great to then have a go yourself. I look forward to them adding more tracks to the game.

Circuit de la Sarthe, because Le Mans rocks!

Oh, and with the chicanes please, I hate when people use that long straight for drags.

I agree 100% with you , Le Mans should be ran with the chicanes , otherwise it loses some of its magic.

Narrowed down to three, Nurburgring, Sarthe, and Daytona are some of my favorite. Being a big NASCAR fan, Daytona holds a lot of history for the sport. That and I love driving the road coarse. The Nurburgring is just incredible in just about any car. I could sit in a free run lobby and drive everything from a LCC Rocket to a full out LM Prototype on it. Love the place to death; I'd love to drive/ride along for a lap of the place if I ever get to go there.

Circuit de la Sarthe just brings me back to some of my memories as a kid, driving it for the first time on GT4 with the Bently Speed 8. Completely fangirling over the GT40 (In Gulf Livery) that dominated the place in the late 60's. Even watching the 24 Hours still feels great. Much like Daytona, I love the place for it's history. That and, it's really fun to drive in an LMP or GT3.

Mount Panorama

I think it is "Too hard" in places for casual drivers to enjoy, but once you invest a dozen or so laps here you really get to enjoy the frantic twists and turns - And ups and downs. And then you have the drop bear menace.

Le Mans should have no chicanes and have the proper Maison Blanche rather than the hairdresser Porsche curves.

Did I mention drop bears?

Suzuka is in my Top 3 also because of Senna and the Japaneses F1 Grand Prix , i love the S's , really challenging course

Yes , the downhill section is really tricky and challenging , exactly what i'm looking for in a circuit.

Imagine having the classic Le Mans :

For Hamilton, Vettel and for many others professionals that i know, Suzuka is more challenging than Spa.

I like the nurburgring, but I can't exactly say I know it like the palm of my hand. I just enjoy driving on it, no matter what car it is. 300PP FF or 600PP FR, doesn't matter, it's fun anyway.

Can't vote. Can't pick just 1.

The uzi/hot-glue gun (Spa) is great. Something about Monaco is satisfying (especially with classic Euro cars, like the 250 GT etc), and it's somehow faster than it seems it ought to be, looking at the map. Silverstone GP is a great course. Brands-Hatch full is a nice drive, but annoying name. lol Suzuka is a great rhythm track. Nurburgring GP/F is a good drive, and great for racing with fast high end modern cars. Even Laguna Seca isn't bad (just doesn't grab me for some reason). Willow is too slippery, but with less dust, Big Willow would be a fun course, and even Streets wouldn't be too bad (with slower/smaller cars).

I also love Sierra. It's not a real race course, but as I understand it, it's real roads. So in the sense that it's something you can drive on.... I include that too. (and aren't Eiger and Matterhorn supposed to be that too?)

Sierra is a real place and the town and lake and hills and stuff are real. but the road itself is a 95% fictional... the startline does go over the Dam for the lake though.

I decided not to include those because they aren't official race tracks IRL , the Tokyo course exists IRL but it's not officialy a track for example.

...........Man this is a tough one. In game, I am loving the Willows and Brands Hatch, but in real life, I like Spa, The North Loop, and the Monaco F1 tracks. Monaco juuuust edged others out, so there.

The Nordschleife, just because you can plunk down and drive for a while, and get a little bit of everything. It's got at least a few sections that make for an interesting drive in any type of car. So it's nice when you want to get to know how an unfamiliar car drives - get the full picture.

*edit* I will agree with the OP though, Spa is a pretty good abbreviation of the 'Ring haha. Not sure why I don't visit more often.

Huh. I didn't know that. I thought the Tokyo layout had at least been used for actual racing in the past if not also in the present.

I wonder what the ringsults of this poll will be...
Clever monkey. ^_^

Back in GT4, the 'Ring was my nemesis. My FOE. Driving Mission 34. To this day, I have not beat it.

Fast forward to GT5. I have no idea how many times I ran Nordschleife, trying to get that GT-R trophy. A little bit here, a little bit there, my time kept improving...

...and then one day, I got it! :) After that, I would continue to improve my time by a tenth here, a half second there. Since then, the 'Ring has been my favorite.

(Still need to get Driving Mission 34 sorted, though.)
