Well, I tried GT4 and TC at Leguna Seca, 25 minute race. AI on 60/80. I did a rolling start with formation lap, myself starting last in class in a Mustang RTR.
I got dropped off the start, but gradually clawed my way back to the field, then picked my way through. Overall, the pace was pretty good from the AI, ideally I probably could have used a few more clicks of difficulty. Same issues as other tracks though, they were really fast through Rainie Curve, really slow exiting T6 and T11, not the most realistic racing. Overall, not bad though.
However, the TC lappery was disappointing, or rather, none existant. After 20+ minutes, the lead TC car was less than 30 seconds off the race lead. Maybe I need to adjust some settings, but I was disappointed that the pace difference between GT4 and TC wasn't larger.
I realize it's because TC isn't a perfect representation of the CTSCC ST class, it's actually quite over powered for that role. 2 solutions I can think of.
1. Add more Touring Cars to the game, and seperate them into 3 caragories. TC1 for the Clio, along with Mazda 2, Chevy Volt, Ford Fiesta, etc. TC2, a new class comprised of an MX5, BMW 2 Series Clubsport, Porsche Cayman, Mini Cooper, Honda Civic, Nissan Altima, etc. Finally, rename the existing TC class to TC3.
2. Add an option to adjust the skill level of each class individually for multiclass races.
Option 2 seems more realistic, by I've got my finger's crossed for option 1,
