Are you kidding?
This is a thread for people to say what there favourite racing colour schemes are. My favourite(s) are the Jagermeister and DeWalt colours. I don't really know why, but I like them.

This been discussed while ago, but I guess it okay to do it again :)

Anyway, speaking of good looking paint schemes, this is classic :sly:

And have you seen this dewalt scheme?

What's with the slot cars all of a sudden?

My favourites are the legendary Gulf colours on the JW GT40's and JW 917's. I was just plain dissapointed with the Gulf colours on the '95 McLaren. What were tehy thinking with dark blue?! Pah....
And the all time great green with a yellow stripe down teh centre. If you don't know who used those colours you should be shot.

That's red and gold though ;).

I've never seen that Ford before, with the added splitters, or the one with the massive rear wing in your avitar, I've only ever just seen the plain original one.

Here are some of my favs that stuck in my head.....

1. Gulf - Powder Blue and Orange

2. Realtime Racing - White with Orange trim

3. McLaren - "Clockwork Orange"

4. Audi / Auto Union - "Silver Arrows"

5. Subaru WRC - "World Rally Blue" with "Pleiades" stars and Gold wheels

Those are just a few I could come up with that really stood out in my mind. Any time you see any of those colors, you instantly know what the team is.

Wow, I never knew the Mercury Capri was involved in Rally racing... real sweet :)

It's from the German Touring Car series, not Rally. And it's a Ford Capri. No relation to the Mercury Capri I believe.

The red/black R390 looks awesome. I built a paper model of it a while ago but the printer was low on red tone so it turned out pink/black instead. Looked good anyway.

Always liked the Heat Treatments GTR livery:

8.4 @ 152 mph (I think) - Also going to work there starting next week.

And the Winfield GTRs were the sexx too:

Its actually from the 'Group 5' series - allong with the Porsche 935's - i belive Zakspeed used it as a basis for the IMSA Mustangs of the early 80's

Here is a link to some of the other liveries:

I think the old German touring car series was considered Group 5.

They raced in the DRM which was a series between touring cars and sportscars (it eventully became a domestic sports car championship) I was probably 'splitting hairs' by saying it wasn't 'touring cars' ;)
