What's your favourite name for a street (or avenue, crescent, road, boulevard, parkway, highway, court, abbey, etc.) in your neighbourhood / home town?

There's a long winding street running through several neighbourhoods near my home called The Chase. And, well, I just think that's the bee's knees.

Avenida del Libertador - Avenue of the Liberator / Liberator's Avenue

Very cool name, in my opinion. It also has some nice cars on it frequently. I saw a few Ferraris and an Audi R8 in it. In Argentina, that is a pretty special ocasion

There is a street in Seattle called Boren Ave. For sure one of the most borin' streets in town...

theres one in the next village called Shaggs Meadow...
Bohemia is a neat one to the north of here, no second part to it, just called bohemia
in milton keynes theres a road called Evans Gate :D

Hm... Well, my favourite street name would probably be Yonge street, mostly because of the irony of it :P (Yonge street's name is the opposite of what it really is... It's more than 100 years old, which means now it should be changed to "Olde Street" XD)

Theres a place called Snake road around here that everyone likes to drive down because, wait for it, its twisty and resembles a snake!

Well i've seen Gay Street in Tallahassee. Like that one.

There's also "Eighth Street" in Gainesville which is 12th Street on the grid system since they moved the 0 Street some years ago.

There's a street near here called Shartz. It's the butt of many jokes.

Also, Kunts.

There's a street in my area called Winner's Circle.

Now if only they could make a Victory Lane...

I used to live on a Street Called 'Roon The Ben', its Scottish, for over the hill, and or could mean round the bend, every street in my old subdivision was named after a Scottish golf course, like Weeburn, Goat Fell, Ca Canny, etc etc etc

The street I live on is Meriwether. Not MaryWeather. Or Meriweather. or Merry Weather.

We still don't know how to pronounce it...any Brit's/Aussie's like to assist?

I don't live there but yesterday I saw a road called Liikapäiväisentie. This is Finnish and it means The One's Road Who Had Too Many Days. It's hard to translate into English shortly. But my theory is that someone too old lived there...?

I used to live on a street called Commercial RD. It was labeled "across the tracks". Though it was a very small town.

I particularly like these three I've passed:

Many people have been born here.

Many people have been raised here.

Many people have sat down with small pieces of plastic in their hands and played here........possibly.

I can never get these damn linx to work........oh no wait.....

:irked:👍

Anywhere where it's got Gay street, it's always good for a laugh.

I drove through a town called Woodenbong the other day (pronounced woo-den-bong) and had a laugh on behalf of the stoners that would think of it another way. :p

I know of a street name Beaver...

Not remarkable by itself, but it has a Liquor store...

Guess what they called it???

(Yeah, you know it!)

:D

Those who haven't seen Wikipedia's article of the day...

I've found my favourite.

There is a Big Beaver here in Michigan and it's at exit 69 off of I-75. Every out of towner makes a comment on it and every celebrity that comes into to town to do a show makes the same half-assed joke about it.

My favorite in my city is a street called "Jay Drive".
