I've noticed in a lot of YouTube clips, people using wheels, in Automatic Transmission, use their right foot on the accelerator and their left foot on the brake.

As a real driver, I haven't used my left foot in an automatic car, ever.

Do people do that in real cars??

Does it help in GT5? I tried it and just can't avoid slipping into right foot only.... but is it worth getting the hang of it?

Yea that article was pretty spot on. I never drive with two feet on the street. Driving Go-Kart's though, it's always been two feet so it's not that foreign a concept. I started driving with two feet in GT5 and it's definitely better.

The reducing of time between gas & accelerator pedal is not why it's helpful in my opinion though. By using two feet I can put my foot back on the gas even while I may still have my brake on. This is extremely usefull in both high speed turns, and slower off-camber turns. In the off-camber turns I can better control the chassis and force the cars weight onto the back wheels to prevent spinning out. In high speed turns, I can stab the brake to bring the front down to help the car turn, without taking my foot off the power.

Yes, it is worth getting the hang of in gt5. But one of the biggest challenges, is to learn how to brake soft enough, that foot isn't used to control, but it does allow you better throttle and brake control, when u master it. And no I don't do it irl, but I have seen some people that do, it just leads to excessive brake wear.

So bold statement?

I'm left footed and I'm perfectly able to control the gas with my right foot. And the brake with my left foot comes naturally since it's my regular foot.

I even use left foot braking whenever I can even if I'm using H pattern shifting plus clutch:

If i'm downshifting, I right foot brake, If I just want to adjust the speed, I left foot brake.

I drive a manual car so braking with left foot with my DFGT just comes natural to me. Couldn't and wouldn't race any other way.

Why not heel toe?

Im no pro when i owned my evo9 i pushed it hard in the turns. And yes i did left foot brake but that was more to control that understeer when i went in hot into corner i didnt really know. Because for all others corners i knew, i would heel toe to my proper enterance speed and maintain my throttle. But i dont get left foot braking to just slow down during normal driving. But then again i would heel toe while down shifting every single time and people just thought that was to excessive. But i love play with the pedals and gears

Well, maybe for u it's natural, and I apologize if I offended you. I guess, I should have said "for me it was the biggest challenge.

I use left foot braking all the time, even in real life. I used a racing wheel for video games ALOT before I got my irl license so I think that's where the habit came from. But I never ride the brake so I dont see why its such a big deal.
